I saw the speech. It was on the money as far as I'm concerned. I've said before that if she runs, she has my vote.

Well one good thing, they have already slung all the mud they can at her, dug up every inch of her past and then some, etc., etc...all the way down to that little weasel of a ex boyfriend of her daughters saying everything to anyone about her and her family that would listen.........and now as visible as she is, there won't be much they can sack her with.....if she runs, there will be little the press can do to harm her (as long as she remains forthright)....I'd say from a campaign angle-- she will really be able to get her views out without having to worry about the press as much....folks who don't know her will have the next 3 years to get to know her and they won't have their views skewed by cheap dirty campaign tricks.....I hope she goes for it!

She might be smarter to wait until after Obama's second term (yes, I do think he will be reelected) and take on Hillary.

    Palin will have my vote.
Is it true that Hillary is thinking about giving up her title of Secretary of State after this term??? Has anyone else heard that?

Not if I have anything to do with it. I will personally do whatever I can to make sure he is NOT reelected. This country would have to be totally insane to vote him back into office, especially if things continue to go the way they are now.

However, if republicans take over in November, Obama may turn around. Bill Clinton and the republican Congress did a fairly good job in Clinton's second term.

Sara would definately have my vote, but any republican will get my vote. She did a great job at the convention. Her speech was excellent !!

The republicans will gain some seats, if previous mid-term elections are any prognostic indicator, but I doubt they'll take control of Congress. I agree with you that republican gains could drive Obama closer to the middle, but I still think he's a two-term president. Time will tell, but if 2008 doesn't go down eventually as a realigning election it will be pretty close. He built a heck of a political organization, and hey, he beat the Clinton machine to get there. Not too shabby.

Bush Jr. cured me of "any republican will get my vote" and Sara Palin just doesn't appeal to me. I don't dislike her as a person or for any of her views (from what I know they're pretty close to my own) but I don't think she's electable for one thing, and for another, I doubt she'd be very effective. I think John McCain picked her for the "shock and awe" of a little-known female running mate in an otherwise lack-luster campaign.

Palin has become such a "darling" of the far right that I think that would actually hurt her chances. Republicans and Democrats are irrelevant. It's the folks in the middle that actually put people in office and moderates and independents haven't embraced her at all. Unless she can win over that segment I think she'll settle for making a nice living on the lecture circuit.

2012 is the very first year in which I can legally vote, and I'd be more than happy to cast my vote for Sarah Palin.

You will see, they will retake Congress

Not only is he a one term flash in the pan, his cracks are showing as he buckles under the pressure of failing his progressive constituents.

Bogus, he was all polish and glitter, he was unique in promising a new hope, but it was just the old hope for socialism.

sounds like a spot off MSNBC, she has substance and ran a state with it, more than what Obama did before his election.

Time will tell on who rises up from the grassroots tea party movement, if anything it has sobered up the dems and republicans, I hope we get more "nobodies" like Scott Brown rising to the surface to fill the needs the people want.

Palin's more interested in making money. She has no intention to run, but indicating an interest in running I'm sure boosts interests in her speaking appearances. If Republicans want to lose in 2012, then Sarah Palin is the right person. She's a quitter and the decision to to leave the governor's mansion during a "lame duck session" ruined any chance of her ever running credibly for public office again.

The fact that she was also willing to defend Rush Limbaugh for using the 'R' word white criticising Rahm Emmanuel for doing the same thing shows she's more interested in political expediency than standing by her principles.

Republicans need more Charles Krauthammer type conservatives and less of the folksy Sarah Palin types.

Palin's okay, but I like Michele Bachmann a lot better!!! I think she is a lot more articulate, knowledgeable, and poised than Palin could ever hope to be.

Maybe I am wrong (I hope I am) but I have a feeling, as the other poster said, that Palin is "all about the money" and is just telling us what we want to hear, basically.

I do NOT believe Obama will be elected to a second term!!!!!!

gozo- I agree with you that republican gains could drive Obama closer to the middle, but I still think he's a two-term president.
This wonderful country is barely surviving the first year of this occupier, squatter in the WH, let alone a second term.

Time will tell, but if 2008 doesn't go down eventually as a realigning election it will be pretty close. He built a heck of a political organization, and hey, he beat the Clinton machine to get there. Not too shabby.
Political organization? Are you serious? More like a group taking their cue from the Mafia! and that’s in all facets. The Clintons started the "slash and burn" politics, and obamone just proved to be more evil and deceptive in his tactics. Evil, just "one upping" evil...yeah...that’s something to admire

Bush Jr. cured me of "any republican will get my vote" and Sara Palin just doesn't appeal to me.
Of course, the proverbial "Bush bashing" always seems to find its way in...so old...so passé. Its amazing how "folks" with their "progressive" agenda, always refer to the past, a distorted one at that, which actually is "regressive"...

The speed of which the way events are occurring in this country and the world, GW could end up in History as being our last "real" President...first President GW...last President GW...

I have been some what of a moderate, leaning towards conservative all my voting life, but after I see what the the liberal agenda has been since Clinton I will never vote democrat again. They have pushed me further to the right! Sarah would get my vote today!

Well, this world right now is topsy turvy, things may happen that may even surprise us.

People are really tired of the conditions are economy is right now so I don't think Obama could be a 2 term president. But then again, I don't know... Only time will tell.
Thank you, God, for my salvation!

    Hi everyone

Me and my husband are holding out to see if someone from a third party emerges. Probably a lost cause though. There is way to much time between now and 2012 to put all our eggs into one basket.
