THAT is a very good question. Maybe it had something to do with his spiritual state while he was still alive? Maybe something in his "physical life" on Earth was where God saw the problem and denied him entrance. But after he died he was made "OK" spiritually.
Like I said I'm not sure...that's the only reason I can think of right now. If there is a better answer than that please tell me!![]()
The LORD will roar from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem; the earth and the sky will tremble. But the LORD will be a refuge for his people, a stronghold for the people of Israel. Joel 3:16

I am trying to find out if Moses was allowed into the promised land or not. We know he was on the mount of transfiguration with Jesus but was the mount of transfiguration in the promised land. IMO it was not in the promised land but the land could be seen from it.
I am in a bible study with some others and they are of the opinion that Moses was allowed into the promised land but in the scriptures right before Moses died God made a point of saying that he would not go over into the land. Here is the verse.
Deu 34:4 And the LORD said unto him, This [is] the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see [it] with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither.
The next verse is where Moses dies, it appears that God may be making a point of Moses not going over to the promised land.
What do you all think?

No, Moses did not enter the Promised Land at all. Nobody knows where he was actually buried but the following verses show where he died.
Deut. 34:5 So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD.
Deut. 34:6 And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Beth-peor; but no man knoweth of his sepulcher to this day.
But the question still stands; was the Mount of Transfiguration in the Promised Land or not?

Depends on how you define some of the more vague terms.

I would say that it probably was, but its hard to be dogmatic about it.
The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.
Day to day pours forth speech, And night to night reveals knowledge.

Moses was allowed to view, but not set foot in the Promised Land.
At the transfiguration, it is quite possible that again Moses was allowed to view, but not set foot in the Promised Land. As Moses now dwelled in the spiritual relm, we do not know.

But hey than again...isn't Moses one of the two Witnesses in Jerusalem during the Tribulation?
Would God really banish Moses from the Promised Land for all eternity? If not than why wouldn't the transfiguration take place in Israel?
Some (not me)say the transfiguration took place on mount Tabor in Nazareth. I say it could be, why not?![]()
