    Default Least Favorite Vegetable Poll

This poll is dedicated to MrMannn and was inspired by his Feb 26 thread about zombie grapes, peas, lima beans and such: http://rr-bb.com/showthread.php?1283...work-yesterday.

What is your least favorite vegetable. This is a public poll. Vote for as many items as you like.

[Edit 1: Oops--I mean, vote for as many items as you DON'T like.]

[Edit 2: Well. Okay. Maybe it isn't a public poll. I thought sure I checked the public poll box. *sigh*]

[Edit 3: Well. Okay. So it IS public. A little bird told me you have to click on the numbers to see the names. I don't recall having to do that before. So.......I have embarrassed myself once again. And in the fruit poll. And in the pie poll. And in the test poll. Nothing like publicly showing hundreds of people how technologically challenged you are. *groan* *heavy sigh* ]

No to the asparagus. If I find a recipe that calls for it that otherwise sounds good, I use broccolini. It is a cross between broccoli and Chinese kale, and is similar in shape and texture to asparagus, but is much tastier.

Trust me, I've had asparagus, spargel (white asparagus), etc. served different ways, (even a "very delicious" spargelcreamsoup in Germany) and I just can't get that icky flavor out of my mouth.

Okra is my least favorite because it is so slimy. Is it not slimy if it is fried?

considered putting beets, but couldn't list as many items as I would have liked because of the 10-choices limit

Wow. I guess when you eat out, you order the Diehard Carnivore Special: meat, meat and more meat.

Where I live we call "lima beans" butter beans. It makes them taste so much better with lots of butter on them. Another favorite food of mine would have to peppers and lettuce! You can even make a sandwich with a pepper!
Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. 1 Peter 4:12-13

Never heard of a pepper sandwich. With green peppers? Mayonnaise? What exactly do you put in it?

I like to use green peppers but red or yellow peppers could be used. Then you cut the thing into four slices, like bread and fill it with ham, cheese, or nuts. It makes a pretty good snack!

It's delicious fried, but fried foods aren't good for me, so I seldom have fried okra.

I really like most vegetables except canned spinach and peas. Boiled okra is disgusting too -- too slimy. I think it's really only good fried, but I don't eat fried stuff.
