Default 8.8 - Magnitude Quake Hits Chile *Merged*

Nothing on line that I see at this time but the alert banner on the Fox news site. I am sure some of you know where to find more information.

    Pray

WOW! 8.3! Two in the same day that are that huge? I type "earthquake" and "chile" on google and there are a lot of people "Tweeting" about it.

I hope someone updates soon about it.

Pray for the safety of the people!

Wow, that was quick! I just saw this on Fox.

Fox reported that the area that was hit is the 2nd largest populated area in Chile. I pray that people there are safe and that the earthquake hit far enough away to not do too much damage in human lives.
Psalm 30:11-12 (New King James Version)

    11 You have turned for me my mourning into dancing;
You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,
12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent.
O LORD my God, I will give thanks to You forever.

They said it was around 36 miles deep...that still seems shallow is it not? I really am lost when it comes to this subject. They also said there are blackouts so it must have shacken things a bit.

Blackouts and buildings moving. This world's going crazy! Definitely praying.

Big one over 7.0 magnitude off the coast of Japan earlier today too. Actually sparked a tsunami warning that fortunately didn't pan out.

There are earthquakes in diverse places all right.

Just tried to tell my wife a little more about the last days and Jesus' return. She really dislikes when I do that. She just turned up the TV and basically ignored me.

Aaaaye! I hate when that happens. I have a friend that's like that. They find it distressing, rather than glorious. Or they choose to ignore it all together. Best of luck; i'll pray.

    Exclamation Tsunami warning issued

    http://www.breitbart.com/article.php...show_article=1

SANTIAGO, Chile (AP) - An 8.3-magnitude earthquake struck southern Chile early Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported. A tsunami warning was issued.
The quake hit 197 miles (317 kilometers) southwest of the capital, Santiago, and at a depth of 36.9 miles (59.4 kilometers) at 3:34 a.m. (0634 GMT; 1:34 a.m. EST).

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center issued a warning for Chile and Peru, and a less-urgent tsunami watch for Ecuador.
