Default As the Lord said it would be: Christians now most persecuted religious group in the world

    Christianity's Modern-Day Martyrs

The rise of Islamic extremism is putting increasing pressure on Christians in Muslim countries, who are the victims of murder, violence and discrimination. Christians are now considered the most persecuted religious group around the world. Paradoxically, their greatest hope could come from moderate political Islam. By SPIEGEL staff.

Kevin Ang is cautious these days. He glances around, taking a look to the left down the long row of stores, then to the right toward the square, to check that no one is nearby. Only then does the church caretaker dig out his key, unlock the gate, and enter the Metro Tabernacle Church in a suburb of Kuala Lumpur.

The draft of air stirs charred Bible pages. The walls are sooty and the building smells of scorched plastic. Metro Tabernacle Church was the first of 11 churches set on fire by angry Muslims -- all because of one word. "Allah," Kevin Ang whispers.

    Not surprised.

I was enjoying a perfectly nice day out with family yesterday and a gay man and lesbian women stopped us on the street in front of a Starbucks to ask us to support gay marriage. We told them we don't support it and then we were verbally attacked and called bigots!

    It won't be long now...

They ask us to be open minded, supportive and tolerant of their views, than why can't they be tolerant of ours? It has to go both ways.

I agree...Christians are the most persecuted. Everyone thinks every religion is tolerant except ours.

That's right Megan! The Christian faith rightfully acknowledges there is only one way to Heaven and that is through a solid belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Other religions believe there are multiple ways to heaven. Until Christ returns to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords for eternity, Christians will be persecuted...
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me.... “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. 12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

    Lightbulb God's Family

They hated Jesus, and attributed his healings & miracles to the devil. We do not belong to this world so they will hate us also. We are in the world not of it. Our outlook on right and wrong is where we will not see eye to eye. They don't like us because we are not of this world, and call sin for what it is. They call good evil, and evil good. Until people come to Jesus for forgiveness, and personally accept him into their hearts God is not their father. God's children are of light, which the darkness does not belong to God's family. We are to be God pleasers not men pleasers.

If we understand that God and His Word call us to holiness then we can be just as tolerant as HE is.
For example, if we take the 10 commandments and look at them as promises instead of impossible demands, we can see God's own character shining through them. We know that HE keeps them. When He is finished with us we will be able to say with HIM: "I will have no other Gods before HIM"
Holiness is a concept that is lost to anyone who lives for themselves.
The white robes seem ridiculous to pigs in slop.

"The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify that what it does is evil." John 7:7

Remember, the world hated Jesus first. And since we are supposed to mirror Him in everyday life, the world will hate us as well.
