Pray I'm sick of this world

Okay Family, so I am so mortified and wish Jesus would come now. I can't believe how nasty our world is. I was walking in our mall and passed by a store called Spencer's. I hear they are all over the country, or at least the Northwest. This is so gross but it is keeping me from being able to fall asleep. I feel so violated. There was this T-shirt on display OUTSIDE the store where familys with children and pretty much the whole other side of the mall could see it...It was pornography on a T-shirt. I felt so violated not only because I'm a woman too, but that I had to see it against my will. At the very time I saw it (I was at the mall to buy some shorts with my friend) I asked Jesus, "Where are You? Please come, Jesus. Don't tarry!" It's so hard to get those gross images out of my head. It repeats itself over and over and it disturbs me. I pray so hard for the rapture. Our world is so gross in sin, I feel like it's worse than Noah's day or even the cities Sodom and Gomorrah! The rapture has to be soon because innocent children are soon to be forced into corruption. Planned Parenthood has some nasty plans... I'm so afraid of being here longer and I have a little boy. If we are still here, I have to homeschool him since schools kicked Jesus out. I am guessing the great apostasy is already at work, it's already happening. I'm almost afraid. It's so gross here. I feel so dirty and I didn't do anything wrong. I just looked the wrong way at the mall not knowing there was porn on a shirt, where little innocent children can see it on display for $25!! What do we do??? How much longer, Lord? (I say that with respect for our Lord.) Maranatha!!!!!!

For the Lord Himself will come down from Heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the Archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we shall ever be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words. I Thessalonians 4:16-18

    Default gross!

there is no reason something like that should be on display in a shopping mall. they are getting away with it because most likely people are just shaking their heads and walking on.

i suggest you call the management of the mall and make a complaint pronto. i don't know if you would feel comfortable doing this but the manager of the store would get a piece of my mind. but the manager is probably not even going to be there, just some kid. if you could get a picture that would be even better, i am sure the mall wouldn't want that to end up in the newspaper!

    this world is a mess!

spencer's has been around for a long time, and has always carried weird stuff, but this is way over the line. blech!!!

Definitely worth making a complaint to the mall management, followed up a day later with local police if nothing has been done about the situation. If after a few more days and no results, a call to the ACLJ would be indicated as they get involved in "public indecency" issues. Let your voice be heard. We don't have to take these things lying down.

JG - No need to be afraid of this world. Jesus has already overcome it all for us. And we have His promises for us. By His good and perfect plan, we are all alive now in these momentous last days. It is a cesspool, to be sure.

But for all His saints throughout history until now, even people who have even seen their families martyred for their faith in our Lord, we can stand on His words that His grace is sufficient for us, and that He will keep us in perfect peace whose minds are stayed on Him. Let's encourage one another with these things. \ 0 /

Lord, we how majestic are you, and how wondrous are your works? The craftsmanship of your hands is seen throughout all creation, and we sing praise and give honor unto you. By your sacrifice on the cross, Lord Jesus, you have gotten the victory over sin and death, and have made an open show of the powers of this fallen world. We love you, and give our hearts to you Lord, as we ask you to be our Saviour and Sovereign over us. We trust in your sacrifice for our sins, and we cling to you in the midst of the storm. We know all things are in your authority, and because you have told us we can approach the throne boldly and ask in your name, we do so now.

FAther in heaven, we come before your Throne of grace on the behalf of Jesus's Girl. Abba, the Adversary violated her mind having a filthy display placed in the MAll. Jesus's Girl did NOT go into this store, but was merely walking by it and saw this filth, and it is haunting her. The images are trapped in her head and they are vexing her Abba, and she cries out in despair to you because they are so horrendous. Further, this world has frightened her with it's vile darkness and rank filth, and is causing her to not want to even set foot outside for fear of it's slime-filled touch.

Lord, we know that you have the victory, and that for all it's evil, this world screams in terror when you shine your pure, brilliant light upon it. When men see you as you actually appear, the righteous fall to their knees in adoration, and the unrighteous flee in terror, asking the mountains and rocks to fall on them and cover them. We know we have no righteousness of our own, but that you see us through your son, jesus Christ, whose blood covers our sin and blots out our iniquity. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ that you remove the image that Satan tried to implant in her head, and replace it with your peace, a peace that surpasses all understanding. Calm her heart and soothe her fears; hold her close to you and set her upon the Rock. Let her know that you are with her, and that even though she may walk through the valley of the shadow of death, your rod and staff will comfort her. She is hidden within your son jesus, and Jesus is within you, Father; we trust in you that you will hold her in your hands, and that you will ease her worries and calm her quivering soul. We ask this according to your will, and that your will, not ours, be done Abba. Amen.

Jesus's Girl: Here's an image for you that i hope will help you forget that horrid one:

Yes, Spencer's is hideous and it HAS been for years! We have them here in the northeast, too (unfortunately!!!). Complaining is good and I hope it would have an effect, but it doesn't always! One time I went into a Border's bookstore in a mall and couldn't BELIEVE the ridiculous number of witchcraft books available, placed in a very prominent spot.

Outraged, I stepped to the cashier's counter and asked them why Border's was carrying such DARK, DARK material. I promptly got brushed-off. The clerk didn't even look me in the eye, but kept her head lowered over the cash register and mumbled something about not being able to help what books management ordered.

I told her to tell "management" it was NOT appreciated for them to stack those kinds of books (The Satanic Bible, for one) in a prominent spot, so that every teenager that walked in would see it!!!!!!!!! I told her they shouldn't even ORDER those kinds of books because it is influencing the younger generation!!! She just basically ignored me.

So long as IT SELLS, they don't give a hoot!!!!!!! The Almighty Dollar is what counts!!! I wish MORE people would complain and/or boycott those stores selling GARBAGE.

Honestly, when I was a teenager (okay, back in Prehistoric Times, lolol), if a store carried a book like that, there would be a Lynching Party!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, which is why I complain to CORPORATE. Not that it does much good, but it lets them know at a higher level that such trash is NOT appreciated.

Ultimately though, this world is going to sink to depraved levels that will far EXCEED this, in the tribulation. Thankfully, we won't be here for that.

Default I 2nd the idea of complaining.

A few years ago, I was horrified to see nasty magazines displayed at children's eye level in a family-type store. I complained to the manager, right then and there. He thanked me for complaining! He said that he didn't like it either, but it was store policy (this is a national chain). It was also store policy to remove stuff like that if there is even ONE complaint. He thanked me for enabling him to remove the offensive display.

Complain to the store, to the mall and everyone else you can think of. A letter to the editor of the local paper might also be in order, depending on the response you get from the store and mall.

yes, Spencers is well known for it's distasteful merchandise and they have been around for years.
Robert, what a beautiful picture!!!! It is now my computer wallpaper and I am sending a copy to my two daughter's to enjoy also.
You know places like Spencers can put distasteful things up in their store windows and many people don't give it a second thought or laugh about it and it stays up there for who knows how long. But put a picture like the one Robert posted up in a mall window and see how fast someone would protest it and it would be removed.
Reminds me of a place near me that was a strictly hard core porn store. Everytime I would have to drive by it I would say a prayer that it would go out of business. It took a few years but lo and behold one day it DID go out of business. Know what they replaced it with? A cute puppy store!!!! I laugh everytime I drive by there now.

I understand your feelings. We have a Spencer's here in Florence, SC. It is always full of 10-15 year old's feasting in all of it's filth. Parents are either oblivious, stupid, or wost of all, don't care. Thanks Robert for that beautiful picture. One day we will be in the loving physical arms of our Savior, just like that child.

I remember Spencers when I was a kid: they used to carry zany stuff, but never pornography that I could remember. If they did, it wasn't in plain view like it is now.

All of this got started by their competition, Hot Topic: HT carried over-the-edge stuff, so Spencers probably felt they had to follow suit.

In any event, it's disgusting, and I won't miss it when we're called up to heaven. I think a woman should be treasured and treated as a lady: with dignity, kindness and affection, not put on display like a piece of meat. The garbage taht tehy purvey now is just hideous.

    Jesus'sGirl

I am hearing you LOUD and CLEAR. And also the beautiful words of encouragement posted here. Beautiful picture Robert!

I also recall Spencer's as a teen in Michigan, but all I can remember is buying this crazy purple lip-gloss and some funny novelty items.....however, I do recall that in the back of the store it did have a sign that said "Adults" only or maybe "Over 18"...not really sure, but it was a part of the store that carried probably what you are describing that is out in the public today. So I am not really surprised, but again, it is just a shame how everything has come out of the closet and the dark, but not into the right light...very sad....

I'm sorry you had to even see that and that it upset you so. We do so much as Christians to purposely guard our hearts and minds and filter what we take in. But as we see, the world is throwing it at us-- to the point you can barely leave your own home without over-hearing kids and folks cursing, without see lewdness in public, without seeing two men kissing and grabbing over each other...we basically have to walk about with our eyes covered.

Society has decided that "everything" can exist together....at one time on the main street near me we had a rated X go-go joint, but a Church, a Jewelry store that specialized in engagement rings, but an adult lingerie shop...and a bar......Now how on earth is all that suppose to go together?

The only true beauty left in this life is what we don't see! What is awaiting us. Come soon Lord. Please come soon. Jesus'sGirl loves you so and is barely hanging on, please come soon

Frustrating and aggravating, I know!! But please try not to be too hard on the sales clerk. It's not her job to order the materials, in a chain store like that it's corporate head office that decides what the store will carry. The clerk may well have felt trapped by your questions, knowing there was no way to give you a satisfying answer... unfortunately they are on the front lines and take the flak and verbal abuse for what head office does.

I work in a similar situation.... the Christian bookstore sells a lot of apostate material, and discerning Christians DO complain. Inwardly I agree with them, but outwardly I can't say much because the boss does the ordering, but I take the flak anyway. Sometimes my cheeks are flaming from the flaming I am getting from an angry customer, and I have to stand there and endure it. Not fun.

That's why i don't yell at salespeople. I used to work in retail for a couple of years, and I hated it. If there is ever a problem in a store, unless a salesperson was begin out of line, I don't get on their case. if they are begin out of line, I just talk to their supervisor. But I try to cut people a break.

As I mentioned earlier: things of that nature, I talk to management or corporate.

I can't stand that store either. They sell nasty items and the things people do with them to me is just unfathomable. I saw candy undergarments that have to be riddled with germs the way they are used. Candy privates (really thats why its called "privates" because thats how it should be).
I want it all to go away and for Jesus to do something about it.

When I was a kid Spencer's was a joke and novelty item store and they sold blacklight stuff and gyroscopes, now its a s*x and alcohol-related merchandise store. I think its a horrible store. But oh well, just the way the world is.

Just 'member we have the strongest power in the world: prayer
    1 Cor: :: 2:9-10 ::
Eye hath not seen, nor heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
