The Rapture Report - Netanyahu: No change in policy on Jerusalem

After returning to Israel from the U.S., Israeli PM Netanyahu convened on Friday afternoon a five hour meeting of his seven primary top ministers members who are commonly referred to as the "Septet". The discussions centered around Netanyahu's visit to Washington and his meetings with U.S. President Obama. The PM briefed his cabinet on the talks with senior U.S. officials as well as the demands that Obama made to Netanyahu in order to jumpstart the stalled Middle East peace talks. The Jerusalem Post reports:

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu convened his senior ministers in Jerusalem on Friday afternoon to discuss the demands made by US President Barack Obama and his overall trip to Washington – a trip that, because of negative atmospherics and amid a paucity of hard information, has been widely characterized as among the most difficult in recent memory.

Late Friday evening, Israel Radio reported that Netanyahu holds to the view that Israel must not change its policy in Jerusalem, despite the fact that this was the main point of contentions between Israel and the United States. However the circle of seven top ministers, known collectively as the 'Septet', did not come to any conclusions following the five-hour discussion and will probably only announce the government's position after the Passover Seder which occurs Monday evening. Netanyahu told his inner circle also that on Iran, the US and Israel were in complete agreement.
Despite the reports coming out of Israel today that the Israeli government had not made any decisions, it was further reported that no longer had Netanyahu arrived back in Israel that it was leaked that Obama had demanded that Israel answer his demands by Saturday. This arrogant attitude by Obama is very unbecoming on a U.S. President, especially in that the dealings are with an extremely important ally. The apparent reason that Obama demanded answers by Saturday is that the Arab League is currently meeting this weekend on the current Middle East situation as well as the recent spat concerning housing construction in Jerusalem. It appears to me that Obama is making ridiculous demands of Israel in order to further appease and "bow down" to the Islamists. I think it is totally unfair to ask the Israeli government to make important decisions in such a short amount of time after the way Obama and his administration treated Netanyahu while he was in the U.S. The Obama administration showed absolutely no manners and dignity to the Israelis while they were in Washington. The way the administration acted was a complete embarrassment to the rest of the U.S. Even Congress and several leading newspapers like the Washington Post rebuked Obama for his childish behavior.

I'm afraid there's gonna be a cursing along with how Obama treated Israel.

Obama is taking sides with the Arabs & wants to run the show on what goes on in Israel. I Netanyahu sets him straight that he is the leader in Israel & he is not compromising on building or giving into making Jerusalem the capital of Palestine. I hope he puts BO in his place. BO is about to see the wrath of God for his treatment of Israel.

You know it’s really bad when even the Arab League can see through the stupidity of Obama when it comes to Israel and making demands. Backing a person into a corner and giving one an ultimatum is not the way to negotiate for peace.

Something has to break soon because we know that Jerusalem is not divided until the Tribulation. With seeing the repssure that is being put on Israel right now from all around the globe, the only possible scenario is for war to break out.....the million dollar question is WHEN will it start. We know from the news that, as long as Jerusalem stays as is and not divided, that Palestine has stated that they aren't even open to talks whether direct or indirect, so....

Here is a snip of HotAir's take on this:

Netanyahu can’t cave to Obama without looking dangerously weak but alienating the U.S. will leave Israel dangerously isolated
Isolated.......I don't know if the writer of that commentary is a Christian, but for me, that word jumped off the screen. I have wondered for years now how it would come about that Israel was alone. I know that they will know it was God who saved them, and I have thought until now that it meant some form of disaster for us geographically/physically. I never imagined it would happen politically until "the won" was in office. You know?

I'm sure of it. God says He will curse those who curse His chosen people. The question is not if, but when and what......will it be a terrorist act, weather related, a deadly disease, or something else? I only hope we don't have to endure too much of BO's utterly ungodly and detestable actions before the rapture happens.....that man really sickens me!

Let us all pray that when the cursing comes, it will be concentrated on the officials responsible, and not spread over our Nation as a whole.

And let us all increase our suport for Israel, beginning by praying for the Peace of Jerusalem.

While this is just my personal opinion, it seems to me that this is just one more "check" on the list for what is required to line-up with prophecy.

America has always been considered a super power, therefore any country we considered an ally or "protected", remained confidently safe from fighting for themselves alone. America let the world know that if y'all messed with Israel, you were gonna be answering to us, and we WOULD get involved.

This is no longer the case with our current president; not only does he treat Israel with disrespect, he's also let the rest of the world know that Israel no longer falls under the same protection it's been afforded under our previous leadership. I'm quite certain Palestine finds great pleasure in witnessing the way Israel's Prime Minister was treated during his "visit" to The White House. We should be politically shamed for behaving in such a disgraceful way, and frankly I believe God WILL take care of that aspect, Himself. His protective hand is on Israel and He made it clear what would happen to any nation that hurt Israel.

The stage is being set, imo...

Israel doesn’t need America and the sooner Israel realizes this, the better off Israel will be.

When push comes to shove, Israel will do what it has to do to survive. Let us not forget that the Israelis have won every major war against the arabs that the arabs started by miraculous divine intervention. The Israelis know that. The only help they have ever had from America was with weapons to fight the wars. Even now, as Obama has threatened to withhold arms to Israel, I believe Israel already has enought stash in arms and weapons to do what it has to do, with God's help. In Israel’s first big regional Middle East war with the Arabs fully equipped armies in the War of Independence in 1948, Israel’s frail, newly formed, barely and poorly equipped IDF and Holocaust survivors defeated Egypt, Trans-Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and Iraq, who invaded Israel and forced Israel to defend its sovereignty one day after Israel declared its statehood.

Of course they don't, and that is the point. They need God. Sometimes though it is tough to put all of your weight on the Lord when you have other options. Have you ever found that true in your own life? Sometimes you have to be brought to a point where you have no other choice, you know that it is fruitless to try and go at it without the Lord, and you let go, and let God......and that is when your eyes are opened to see Him move.

I was horrified at the way our government treated Israel. How arrogant are we to assume that we can push God's people around like this!! I hope Netanyahu tells Obama to go get bent. God will be Israel's defender. Always has, always will.

The arrogance of this president makes me sick.

Speaking as a very imperfect, mortal human being, that seems to be the "just" way, punish the one who is anti-Semitic and is cursing Israel.
