My favorite sandwich is a bacon cheeseburger. Grill the bun, grill some onions. Put grilled onions under the cheese and bacon over the cheese. Hand form the patty and grill. Add 3 or 4 pickles, shredded lettuce, a thin slice of tomatoe, 3 parts mustard to 1 part ketsup... Bun must have those little sesame seeds... If I don't grill the onions, then add a thin slice of red onion to the sandwich.

    Favorite sandwich----????

    This is sorta like the old song of the 50s;

"When I'm not with the girl I love, I love the girl I'm with"

Anything is better between two pieces of loaf bread or two halves of a bun.

I love sandwiches so good that when I was in college I had a buddy to tell me, "Bill, if it was possible you'd make a sandwich out of soup"! He was right!!

    A few of my favs
    1 BLT
2 burger with lots of lettuce, onions & tomatoes
3 hot dogs w/lots of onions & some chili
4 weiner, split lengthwise & fried with mustard & a slab of onion

As you have probably noticed, I think onions make most things better also.

Great! Now I'm hungry. My favorite would be the BLT. Tall Timbers bacon cheeseburger sounded pretty good though.

Yep Wally, me too, Philly Steak, but sorry, for me, skip the onions. And do
the cheese right, not in a lump on the top, but melted into all the layers of
finely chopped steak. And um, maybe some nice marinara sauce instead of
the steak sauce. Oh dang, this is making me hungry!

Meatball parmigiana hero, but only the real kind you get at a pizzeria not the kind you get at a sandwich shop.

I love peanut butter so that would be high on the list. Another favorite would be ham and cheese (white American) on a fresh baguette with mayo. Some potato chips on the side makes it even better.

I'm not sure I could pick a favorite.

Anyone ever tried an avocado sandwich? If you haven't tried one it might sound weird, but it is quite good. [Cut up 1/2 an avocado in small pieces, put mayo on the bread, spread out the avocado pieces evenly, add salt/pepper, add (optional) a layer of raw spinach.]

I love BLT's, but I try not to eat pork anymore, so now I use turkey bacon.

Love meatloaf sandwiches (with homemade meatloaf), lettuce and mayo.

    Also like pastrami sandwiches.

There's also a great kind of grilled sandwich I haven't had in so long I don't even remember what it is called. Pastrami (I think), white cheese, sauerkraut and mustard. [Wait! I found it. It's called a Reuben and is made with corned beef, not Pastrami.] [Yes, my memory is disintegrating ]

My all time fave is pastrami piled on a dipped long hoagie bun with pickles and mustard..would like to try one from a deli in NY-but haven't yet

Then I like tuna w/radiation (eek j/k) salad...But I really shouldn't eat sandwiches, too many carbs Sandwiches using lettuce for the bread or bun...just isn't the same.
