Trance, this was beautifully written and reminded me of things I needed to add to my own "Left Behind Message". However, yours is so much better then mine ... would it be ok for me to copy this message and leave it as a file on my computer in the folder I leave this type of stuff in?

My husband had a great idea. He created two files on his hard drive. One is named "Nasty", the other is named "Credit Card info". They are both left behind messages.

I just replicated that idea on my computer as well. Only I took Trance's three messages and in the first folder labeled the first message - Discover Card. The second that tells how to be saved is Visa Card. And the third that tells about Satan and who will you serve is called Master Card.

I am almost done writing my Left Behind letter for the people who are left behind when the rapture comes, and I need a little bit of help. I don't know how to explain what is going to happen during tribulation. I especially want to tell them about the anti-Christ and how to know who he is, about the mark, and about the one-world power. Please guide me a little on how to do this the right way and what else I need to mention. Here is the letter so far (the black parts are the letter, the red parts are what I am telling you guys). Thank you ahead of time! Oh, and thank you to Kaitlyn for inspiring me to write this, for helping me to find Jesus in the first place, and for letting me use some of her ideas from her letter.

If you are reading this right now, it is because I have disappeared. I have vanished along with thousands or maybe even millions of other people. We are gone without any explanation. Please don’t worry about me. Regardless of what theories people try to come up with, it wasn’t an alien abduction. It wasn’t a mass suicide. It wasn’t a science experiment gone wrong. What happened is called the rapture. Jesus promised more than 2,000 years ago that this would happen. It’s in the bible. For those of us who are gone, it is a very good thing. We are with God right now. What happened was God taking all of His children (true born again Christians) to Heaven with Him before things get really bad down here on Earth. If you are reading this right now, please know that God didn’t forget about you. He didn’t abandon you. He still loves you. I wrote this letter for you because I know that reading it is going to be the most important thing that you have ever done. I am going to explain what has happened, what is going to happen over the next few years, and how you can be saved. It isn’t too late for you. God is reaching out His arms, just waiting for you to run to Him. He is smitten in love with you. You can be saved too!

If you are wondering how I knew that this was coming, it’s simple. No, I’m not psychic. I just read my bible and trusted that what God promised was true. That’s how I knew. He promised countless times throughout the bible that this would happen. And although He didn’t tell us an exact date that it was going to take place, He gave us signs to look out for. These signs included certain wars, crimes, and historical events. These events were predicted in the bible thousands of years ago- and recently, they actually started happening! Once I realized that a lot of the bible prophecy was coming true right before my eyes, such as wars involving Israel, I talked about it with several other Christians and I felt that I had no choice but to write this note for anyone who is left behind. Only God knew the exact time that this was going to happen, but we had hints, and we had a feeling that it was coming soon. So I wrote this letter in case I was right.

You are probably very confused and very upset. The world is most likely in complete mayhem right now. You may feel like God has abandoned you and you are wondering why you weren’t taken too. You may be thinking “I led a good life” or “I am a good person”. You may be an extremely nice person. You may do a lot of things to help others. You may even go to church and call yourself a Christian. So why would you have been left behind? The bible gives a very clear answer to this question. Let me explain:

No human is perfect. We are all sinners. Even if we are a "good person" compared to other people, we are still sinners. Sure you may have never murdered someone, and maybe you try your best to be a good person. That’s great and all, but you still sin. Sins include fighting, not obeying your parents, lying, lustful thoughts or actions for anyone who you aren’t married to, hatred, and holding grudges. These are only a few sins, there are many more. So be honest, you’ve broken at least one of those at some point in your life, right? You’ve most likely broken all of them. Well, in the bible, God says that the wages of sin is death. That would be bad news for us humans, because every single one of us has some sin in us, so we would all be sentenced to death (hell) after our lives on Earth were over. God is perfect, and Heaven is a perfect place for perfect beings. No sin can enter Heaven, it just can’t; which is why no people can enter Heaven on their own, they are full of sin.

But wait, there's good news! God loved us so much, that He wanted us to go to Heaven and live forever with Him when we die, even though we aren't perfect and don't deserve it. The only way for that to be possible was if a sinless person took our place and paid for our sins. So, that's what Jesus did. He came to Earth and became human; and died on the cross to pay for our sins. He gave up everything for us. So now, anyone who accepts this gift will go to Heaven. Jesus' blood will cover our sins so we will be allowed into Heaven and allowed to be God's children even though we don't deserve it. None of us actually deserve it. Yes, I am in Heaven right now. But it’s not because I deserved it any more than you did. I didn’t deserve it either. But I had been born again (meaning that I had Jesus come into my life), so His sacrifice covered my sins and allowed me into Heaven.

Think of it this way- You are in a court room, on trial for a crime (sin) that you committed. Let’s just say that you….told a lie. The judge (God) knows for sure that you are guilty, because God knows everything. There is no way to deny it. There is no point is using your right to remain silent. You are guilty. Remember that the wages of sin is death, so even though God loves you and doesn’t want to, He has no choice but to sentence you to death. But wait! If you have chosen at some point in your life to accept Jesus into your life, there is a way out! While you are standing in this court room, Jesus walks in and offers to take your punishment for you. You have Jesus, so He takes the punishment that you deserve.

This isn’t a made up scenario. This is exactly what happened to me and everyone else who has disappeared; and is what is going to happen to you very soon. On judgment day, the day that you die, you will have to go in front of God with an account of your life. If there is even one sin in your life, you are unworthy of Heaven. But if you have Jesus, His sacrifice on the cross will pay for these sins and you will get to go to Heaven anyways.

Hopefully that cleared some things up for you about why were you left behind. It was either because

A) You thought that being a good person alone and “trying your best” could get you to Heaven (And now you know that that isn’t true because you still have sinned).

B) You didn’t believe that Jesus is your savior and the only way out of hell (hopefully this will be enough proof for you).

C) You just didn’t care.

D) Or, you were never born again (Being “born again” means that you received Jesus into your life and were saved- I’ll explain how to do that in just a second).


Are at least one of these things true about you? If so, you didn’t have a savior to cover your sins, so you couldn’t be taken into Heaven. God took everyone who He could to Heaven because things are about to get a lot worse on Earth. But it isn’t too late for you.

After hearing this, do you want to be saved? I hope so, I want to see you again in Heaven! If you would like to allow Jesus into your life right now and become a born again Christian, here is how you do it:

- Believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and is the only way to Heaven.
- Admit to Him that you are sinner and not worthy of Heaven because of it.
- Repent from your sins. “Repent” means to turn away from your sins and start a new life that is pleasing to God. Tell God that you are sorry for your sins and tell Him that you will try your absolute best to never sin again. You’re human, so of course you will slip sometimes and sin; but you just have to try your best to stay away from those things; and repent again when you mess up. You can’t just tell God that you are sorry and then keep sinning like you did before- you truly have to do everything in your power to turn away from your sins and live for God.

Once you truly have Jesus in your life, you are saved! You are a Christian. You are His child. He loves you so much, words cannot even explain! So, you may be wondering where to go from here and what is going to happen to you now.

Let’s start with what is going to happen next. (This is where I want to explain the anti-Christ, the mark, the one world power, and anything else related to tribulation.)

So what should you do? After you have been saved, start by reading the bible and praying daily. You don’t have to know everything right away, it will happen over time. Reading your bible and praying is the first step. Pray for guidance and wisdom to know what to do, pray for strength to survive and stick with God during the rest of your time on Earth, thank God for giving you the chance to read this letter and be saved. In addition, pray for whatever else you feel that you need to. Remember that God won’t always give you everything that you feel that you want, but He will always give you everything that you need. If you aren’t sure where to start in the bible, don’t worry. Along with this letter, I am giving you a bible reading plan that I made and typed out. (I am going to make one, kind of like a guide for how to read the bible, and attach is with the letter.) This will help you to know where to start. I’m not going to lie, things are going to be hard now; but you can do it, you have God living in you! Help others to get saved if you can- yes it will be dangerous, but being an outcast, being harmed, or even being killed will be worth it if it means that others will be saved too. As soon as your time on Earth is over and you have finished your duties here, you will go to Heaven now that you are saved.

Remember, Jesus said in the bible that if we deny knowing Him now, He will have to deny knowing us on judgment day (meaning that He can't pay for our sins). So that works the other way too- If we let Jesus into our lives and admit to knowing Him, He will admit to knowing us when we stand before God; so we will be redeemed.

I would give what you have written so far an A+ and I think it should be copied and used as a model.

It's definitely a challenge to explain the stand those left behind are going to face. Ugly though it is, you are going to have to educate them regarding the complete absence of hope for those who take the Mark. I don't see a way around the brutal truth that they may have to face execution for refusal (unless they are ultra-skilled "survivalists" - on which I would not rely), which means they will have to take an open stand not to worship Satan (when they refuse the Mark). Being able to hold a job, buy, sell, etc. is just not worth the temporary reprieve from eternal damnation.

Maybe you could explain how the same dispensation that was here before the Rapture has reverted to an Old Testament "Choose God now or be stuck down by a bolt of lightning or being swallowed up by the earth" type of dispensation. There is still grace to be saved through the Holy Spirit, but the choice will have immediate consequences.

Let them know that once saved, they will not need to worry about what they are to say (like in court) because the Holy Spirit will give them what to say. Also they need not be afraid - greater is He that is in them than the AC that runs the world. And if they look in the conclusion of scripture, we win, and the AC is consigned to the Lake of Fire, while your saved friends will see you again in eternity.

Thanks! I didn't come up with all of this on my own though, I got some of my ideas from a few other people's letters. I figured it would be okay to copy a few lines since this isn't going to be published or anything, it's just to help my unsaved family members when we are gone. lol

*sighs* Your letter is soooooooo good! I think you've inspired another edit of mine. I'll have to do that when I get home. I'll also have to take whatever suggestions people give you because (as you know) I've been having some trouble with that part of my letter too. I think I finished it! Is this a good way to describe tribulation?

Let’s start with what happens next. According to the bible, the anti-Christ is going to take over the world; but not in the way you would think. He won’t look like a terrifying evil demon. He will look like just another person, and he will seem nice and claim to want peace; but he is a liar. I don’t know what his name will be, but here is how to know who he is: There will be a peace treaty made with Israel. The person who makes this happen is the anti-Christ. He will eventually become the one-world leader (he will be the ruler of all countries). He will claim to be doing this to bring world peace. Most people will adore him and think that he is going to make things better. He will get people to follow him. Now, here is the extremely important part: DO NOT TAKE HIS MARK!!!! At some point, it is going to be required that you take his mark (get a mark or symbol of some kind marked on your forehead) in order to buy food and pretty much survive. Whatever you do, DON’T TAKE THE MARK! Once you do, you cannot be saved from hell no matter what- you will belong to the devil forever. Even if they threaten to kill, harm or starve you, DON’T TAKE THE MARK! Even if they threaten to kill your loved ones, DON’T TAKE THE MARK!!! No matter what, don’t take it. If you do, there is no way to undo it and there is no way to be saved. It is better to be killed and go to Heaven than to survive and go to hell forever when your time on Earth is over. It is only going to be about seven more years until this is over and everybody goes to either Heaven or Hell- so it is worth being tortured and killed. Just don’t take the mark, I can’t stress that enough. And one more thing, the anti-Christ is going to try to convince everyone that he is the son of God. He is going to try to prove this, and a lot of people will believe him. He will try to fulfill some things in the bible to prove this. No matter what he says, does, or tries to “prove”, he is a liar. He may seem believable, but it is a lie. Jesus is the only true messiah and the only way to Heaven. I think that this is proof enough.

My left behind letter is more like a left behind book. The "letter" is the cover article, that very simply covers what is the rapture, the antichrist, the mark of the beast and the necessity of salvation. Simply. Then another article is more in depth about salvation. Another one is a summary of Revelation. How to tell the difference between the real Jesus Christ and the antichrist. And several articles from this website and others that are so well written I don't need to rewrite myself. Some CD's.

My guest login for my computer is not password protected. There are several links to internet articles and articles on the computer. But I don't want to count on the internet working or people even having electricity after the chaos surrounding the beginning of the tribulation.

The key I think is to remember the people left behind will be overwhelmed. Mine is simple enough to find the information they need quickly and comprehensive enough to cover everything.

I have a folder on my computer desktop called "If I Disappear"- I have this letter in it, an audio sermon by Kirk Cameron that explains salvation really well, and a bible reading plan.

I also have a copy of this letter, a bible reading plan, and a tract about the rapture in an envelope on my dresser with big red words on the front that say "READ THIS IF I DISAPPEAR". Anyone who came looking for me and came into my room could not possibly miss it. I am also considering posting it on Facebook, and I've posted it on a ton of the websites that I go on.

I also have several bibles in my room. So whoever finds the letter can take them and give out the extra ones.

I was just talking to my husband the other day about making a left behind box for my sister with a Bible in it, some personal notes and DVD's of the sermons that made a huge difference for me personally, amazed to see I'm not the only one thinking along those lines! (I'm new here :P).

My hope is that the box will help her to get saved before the rapture comes but if not I just want her to have it in case I am not here to guide her for whatever reason.

But an overall left behind letter is a great idea! What are some of the ways which you think would be good to ensure that as many people as possible get the letter when the time is right?
