This is something I really have to work on and think of ingenious places of where to place them as my family does not do computers and I don't frequent message boards or post Facebook. I so wish I had even ONE family member that I could talk to Jesus about without them glazing over.

Genesis, you said you might have to give your letter to your Dad if he doesn't get saved soon. I will pray for him. I am sure if you went missing, he would be searching your room and the one on your dresser would be found. I was thinking, it might be a good idea (for all of us) who have made or will make "Left Behind" letters to make MANY copies, fold them, staple them, put in fairly large box, decorate the box to look inviting but IMPORTANT and write in big bold letters on it, "In case of my disappearance, please take one and pass some more around". I like the idea of all "Left Behind Letters" stressing the fact of DO NOT TAKE THE MARK over and over again!! You did a good job with that Genesis. If I was lost and left behind and I read what you wrote above, I would NOT take the mark, whether I understood it or not at the time.

Just curious, Kaitlin and Genesis, do you now each other in "real life"? I know that Kaitlin's family are all saved and I know that you Genesis are a pretty new Christian. Was Kaitlin someone who witnessed to you? I love hearing how you younger ones get so fired up for the Lord when you have such peer pressure in this fallen world. Both of you, Penguin and others too, you are ALL such a delight to this forum. You make my heart smile. :-)

A big hug ...oh here's another!

Kaitlyn and I originally met online on a different message board back in 2007; I was 13 at the time. The site had nothing to do with Jesus or Christianity, it was a memorial site for a little girl who was killed, which we had both joined because we wanted to help in the searches for missing children. We pretty much became online best friends right away, and we started an online group together that helps missing children. So, when I started going to my church this past January and wanted to know how to get saved (beofre that, I had always thought I would go to Heaven just because I believed in God), I was confused about salvation and asked Kaitlyn to explain it to me, since I knew taht she was a Christian. She explained it to me over instant messanger and I gave my life to Jesus that same night. We have since met in person this past summer (the two of us and one other friend, who all run the site for missing children together met at a mall in Georgia with our parents). So we're pretty much best friends for eternity now.

You could leave a copy of your letter on your fridge or on a bulliten board in your house if you have one? Or on your dresser like I did (since I live with my mom who most likely wouldn't want one on our fridge).

That is such a great and touching story. You both have such kind hearts. I am sure you will meet up again in person someday. Hopefully not in Georgia but in Heaven!

I do remember Kaitlyn posting about a child that was found after 7 years, (I think) but I didn't realize it was a site that you both started. Can you tell me the name of the site and what you do? I am very interested to hear about it. As a parent, (and my kids are grown) I can't think of a bigger horror than to have a missing child. Any parent could deal with a death of a child more than a missing one because at least you KNOW an outcome. To always wonder what is happening to your child, if they are alive...oh, I can't even go there!!

Thanks for explaining how you met. So sweet! Kaitlyn is so blessed to know that her whole immediate family is saved and recently her little brother at the age of 6! Yay!

If you get a chance, don't forget to post the name of your website, I would like to take a look and again blessings to all of you young people that love the Lord and pass the good news along. How I wish when I was you age I knew the Lord like I do now. My whole life would have been different. But, better late than never! :-)

A good point was made that after the rapture family and friends of the left behind will search the homes and rooms of the left behind. After your letters and left behind kits are written, it would be good to look over your bookshelves and computer bookmarks as if you are a left behind person trying to find help.

Remove anything that would confuse them or lead them away from Jesus. It's not necessary to remove everything non religious, but try to make it easy for them. Example: conspiracy theory websites. They may be fun to read, and there's nothing wrong with a little entertainment now and then, but if those sites are on your bookmarks think of how they can confuse someone after the rapture.

We're hoping that we're going to see each other again before Heaven, like maybe in a year or so when we have jobs (and therefor money to travel). Although it obviously would be better if the rapture were to happen before that, so we could be together permanently along with everyone else here.

Our group is called Snapshot Search, the link to the site is www.snapshotsearch.net (if we aren't allowed to post links here, let me know and I'll remove it). And I agree, even though I'm not a parent yet, I can't imagine anything worse. That's why we felt the need to start this. Our main project is contacting celebrities and asking them to take a picture of themselves holding up a missing child's poster, and then posting the picture on their websites for all of their fans to see. We realized that sadly, more people follow celebrities than causes for missing children- so we figured that it was a good way to reach a lot of people. We also do prayer vigils (that you don't have to go anywhere for, you can do it from your own home or wherever you are), and different seasonal projects. We currently have a really cool project going on for Christmas called "Bring Them Home for Christmas". All of the details for that aren't on the site yet, but I can send them to you if you are interested. Oh, and if you look around on the site, please keep in mind that if you read the page that is about the owners of the site, my "about me" page was written before I got saved- so most of it isn't accurate any more. lol I really need to update that.

Definitely better late than never! Even though I was saved at age 16, I even wish sometimes that I would have known Jesus sooner. But then I realize that it was this way for a reason. I did a lot of secular things and.....things that I wouldn't do any more (nothing unbelievably horrible, just typical teen stuff) before I got saved, and looking back, I think that maybe God was letting me get it out of my system so that later I wouldn't think that I missed out on anything and would want to go back to my old life. When I got saved, I had already experienced so much in life that I was more than ready to settle down and focus on nothing but Jesus. I know that sounds odd, but it's the only explanation that I can come up with.

I have been thinking about that sooo much. I have been going through my computer, and actually my whole house, removing anything that would confuse people or lead them away from Jesus. Even things like pictures of me from before I got saved when I was wearing or doing things that I wouldn't now as a Christian (again, nothing really bad, just typical teen things), because I don't want to confuse whoever finds them with "How was she a Christian when she didn't really seem to be acting like one in these pictures?". Because a lot of people wouldn't know that it happened before I was saved. I mean, my closest family and friends would know (well, actually 99% of my close friends will be raptured too), but who knows who is going to end up finding them. I mean, the world is going to be an absolute wreck, it's always possible that it could be a complete stranger who broke into my house looking for food or shelter and stumbled upon the letter.

    My Rapture/Left Behind Message

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast.

Jesus had something to say to the churches. Rev 3:10 is a good place to start in looking at His view on the matter.

Isaiah 26:20-21 shows God said he would protect His remnant, and wee see it further shown in Rev 12. If Jehovah sees to His, would not Jesus see to His as well. He does marry a bride in Rev 19. If the church is still here, does He marry just a portion of the bride?

Default Sending messages to Loved Ones Post-Rapture

Been wondering how best to send a message to Loved Ones after the rapture. Would like to, in a loving way, let them know what has happened and that they still have one more chance although an extremely difficult chance to escape the pit. Also give link to RR for more information.

There are some email services, some free, some not, that will send out an email message to a supplied list after the rapture. (The emails get sent out if the administrators don't login and reset the system for over a week.)

    Anybody have any suggestions?

I've been wondering the same thing. As a military wife, all of my extended family and most of my friends are miles away from me. A "Left behind letter" isn't going to do a whole lot of good. I've thought about posting a note on Facebook or on my blog (it's where I "journal" about my kids so family can be in on their growing up), but how do I do that without people noticing it right away and assuming I've lost my mind? If I could write an email and set it to only send in the even that I don't log in to the account for a set amount of time, that would be perfect! I'll be watching this thread to see if anyone has any ideas as well. While my immediate family is all saved, most of my extended family is not. Many of them already seem to be going the way of "globalization" and "all roads lead to God," so I worry about how readily they will accept the AC. But if I were to just flat out tell them "if this, this, and this happens, do this and don't do that," they'd probably spit in my eye and disown me. All I can do at this point is pray . . . and hope God opens up a way for seeds to be planted, whether by me or someone else.

As someone who believed in the Rapture before I was saved, back in the seventies and eighties I thought I could "ride out" the Tribulation. So I have given it a lot of thought as to what it will like and trust me you want to send that letter now. Just picture this last week in every neighborhood on earth times ten.

i suspect the OP was eluding to reaching family and friends that have already been given the gospel but have thus far refused to believe. this is a noble cause. i have put together a post rapture letter and placed it in a manilla envelope here in my apartment. it has some basic information though i was careful not to make too many pre-rapture assumptions.

so my reply to this thread is to make a Left Behind packet and leave it in a conspicuous place praying that someone finds it after we're gone. you could go high tech and devise some sort of system that will send out a mass email in case of rapture. i'm not sure how that could be accomplished since i'm not a techie. sounds cool tho.

Well, you can do that, assuming they will be able to get to your house before the looters.

I have a friend who will get left. He plays with hookers. Thinks God "Looks at the heart". I have left him a letter, in a case of Bibles. I figure looters won't bother that.

We have also spoken quite often, of the rapture and what can be expected during the tribulation. I have told him the location of my disaster kit.

My sister is saved, my brother rather vague. I plan to send him a letter in a care package I'm mailing anyway. He was in an awful accident years ago (he accidentally shot himself and almost lost his leg), I sent him a care package then, with a Bible. He specifically thanked me for the Bible.

" I have had an increasing burden to engage in some down and dirty, street evangelism." March 6, 2010

Isaiah 6:8 I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “ Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?”

Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”

    Matthew 22:9 NIV
'So go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.’

    I'm praying for you daily!

I can't speak for the OP, but yes! This is the case with my family. My parents and I have shared the Gospel with them many times in the past. Some of them claim to have at one time accepted Christ, but most have not, and those who have are not bearing fruit (leading me to believe they were never saved to begin with . . . but God knows the heart, and I pray they truly were!). I would totally try again, but they have been almost downright hostile toward evangelism efforts coming from relatives. I just don't even want to go there for fear of pushing them so far away that they will never speak to me again, or worse, reject Christ once and for all just to spite me. Our relationships are already strained due to opposite political views. I pray daily that my relatives will hear the Gospel from other sources, because they have firmly rejected it and refused to listen when it is coming from family. If I ever feel led by God to witness to one of them again, I will definitely do that. But for the time being, I am really sensing that I just need to sit tight and keep quiet . . . let the Holy Spirit do his work, lest I do more damage than has already been done. I don't know if that even make sense. Maybe it would be different if I were actually living near them and could talk to them personally. So much can be misconstrued over email or in writing. I keep hoping that God will give me a HUGE prophetic event, like the Gog/Magog war before he takes us home so that I can fire off an email and say "See! The Bible really IS true! You have to believe me now, and this is what's going to happen next! Make the decision to follow Christ and come with me!" I honestly feel that nothing short of something like that will get my relatives to consider following Christ again. I know God can do anything, and I truly do pray for my relatives daily hoping that God will soften their hearts to the point that they will accept Christ as their Savior. But until I see my way clear to speak to them on this matter again, I will simply be leaving them in God's hands, continuing to pray without actively witnessing to them.

I don't know if a left behind packet would work in my case. Maybe if I were living near them and there were a chance they'd be coming to check on me. Worth a consideration for neighbors and friends here where I'm at though.

Plant the seeds now and pray and leave the drawing to the Lord.

I would not wait for some big event to draw people like Gog-magog...I personally belive Jesus' rapture for the church comes as a suprise to the world.
Jesus is coming now at "Any Moment"! Are you ready?

Romans 10:9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Praying for the Peace of Jerusalem. Amen.
