I could TOTALLY see someone naming that falcon Gideon!! Birds of prey (eagles, falcons, etc.) are gorgeous, majestic, and powerful-looking. It's no wonder that the Bible says that "those who wait upon the Lord will mount up on wings like eagles"!

ND, that's what our cats look like, too, especially with DH. Some of them have learned the hard way (bop on the nose) to leave him alone while he's eating, and then when he's done, there will be bits left over. They are a tad more bold with me sometimes.

We once had a little female cat who strictly left plates alone, no training needed. She was prim and ladylike, and would NOT try to eat from a plate even if it was unattended. The only meat she showed any interest in was chicken, and that only if you offered it to her by hand or set it down in front of her. She didn't try to get up on the counters, either.

My girls also do that come 11:00 pm. When my Mom was
living with me before her passing, come 11:00 she would
give them treats before she would head to bed.
So its something they have gotten used to.
Now, still I get the eagle eyes or the jump at my leg to
remind me it's treat time. They must have an internal
clock too, cause they are pretty close to the right time.
