    You know, perhaps the people in New York who okayed this should stop and think...........

    Once a mosque like that one is built in NYC at ground zero........... they may be looking at that city being divided down the road, as Jerusalem is dealing with now on the Temple Mount.

    Especially with "you know who" in office to help puwh it through!

    Careful, could be "hate speech".

    I love my city. It is very much an international city and it makes me sick to see the mosques, halal meat markets (they shout allu akbar when they butcher the meat), and worst of all, the women in the "getup". I don't mean the headscarf, I mean completely shrouded in the black tent, veil, etc. It makes me nauseous.

    One of my friends was particularly outraged because they would be praying there. I laughed and told him "I pray everywhere; that's the least of it." He just gaped at me.

    Unfortunately, the religion of hate and oppression is becoming more and more popular; part of the great delusion to come, in my opinion.

    it takes little any more for it to be considered hate speech,even telling someone that Jesus is the way the truth and the life is considered hate speech by someone that follows a alternative religion.anyone that follows a false religion has a reprobate mind and they cannot understand that we speak really out of love and we don't want anyone to burn in the lake of fire for all eternity and we tell them the simple truth.one way or another they will find out we were correct all along.hopefully they find this out before it's too late.one of the reasons every knee will bow and every tongue will confess Jesus is Lord at the GWT judgment is to show God could make them do it all along but God does not want a legion of yes men robots following after Him,He wants someone to come forward out of love and free in their choice.in reality hate speech is really telling everyone that there are multiple ways on the road to God while gleefully knowing there really is only one.they don't know what hate really is or the true motive behind it all really is.

    We should ALL be outraged regarding this. This is a very, very dangerous thing. We should flood the Building department with E-mails, letters protesting the building of this.... then calling the mayor and up the ladder...

    If they find people ALL OVER the USA are outraged about this, maybe it will be an eye opener for those behind this.

    Why don't we organize a prayer meeting at the site. Get every Christian we know. Put it on Facebook. Like David said, how dare you mock the one and true living God!

    Let's let God take care of it. Who's with me?

    If I ever hear somebody shout 'allah akbar' I am going to tackle him/her to the ground. That is their 'battle cry' before they usually commit a terrorist act.

    In Houston, these MARKETs sells meat that was butchered according to their tradition, part of which is shouting the battle cry. The thing is shouted at the slaughterhouse. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halal

    Islam is becoming more and more prevalent in our society; sadly there are some things we can't fight. They are allowed to have their grocery stores anywhere they want. The women are allowed to wear the "getup" when I'm out shopping. I dislike seeing a big sign saying "Halal Meats" knowing what that means, and seeing these places very busy makes me even more nauseous. They have a perfect right to have their religion.

    Did we ever stop to think that if we are allowed to limit the construction of ONE religious building due to "offending people"; it sets a precedent for forbidding the contruction of OUR churches, too? Because it is "offensive" maybe, to the guy who has the Halal meat market? I see it as a very slippery slope.

    Saved, saying you would like to lob grenades at someone's place until it is "ruins" is considered pretty extreme... that's why I termed it "hate speech". I found it even more creepy with the little grinny guy. I have never once encountered Jesus advising violence as the answer to any problem. Where does he tell us to destroy things? He lost His temper in the temple, I already know that one. But even when they were taking Him off to get crucified, He chided Peter for striking the servant of the High Priest.

    Question, if you REALLY feel that talking about Jesus and salvation is "hate speech", and people will GET you for it, are you doing it? Or are you just posting about how everyone is out to oppress us without sharing your faith with strangers?

    I can say that, I am proud to say I have been persecuted for evangelism, shot in the leg with a BB gun, and 2 attempted robberies just last year. I have been screamed at, hated on, and thrown off 2 buses because I offered the driver a Bible. Just in the last year. But I don't think everyone is out to get me and label me a hater as a result.

    We need to consider, in our every post, that unbelievers CAN and WILL use everything we say against us. That is why I objected.

    I really do see your point and I do understand, however I just can't allow a mosque to be built near ground zero. They plan on dedicating it on 9/11/11, if they had some peaceful purpose it would not be built near ground zero and they wouldn't dedicate it 10 years after the attack. Sometimes our niceness is taken for weakness.
    I think it's important to do everything that is legally in our power to stop what we feel is really wrong.

    Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
    With the cross of Jesus going on before.
    Christ, the royal Master, leads against the foe;
    Forward into battle see His banners go!

    Refrain

    Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
    With the cross of Jesus going on before.

    At the sign of triumph Satan’s host doth flee;
    On then, Christian soldiers, on to victory!
    Hell’s foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
    Brothers lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.

    Refrain

    Like a mighty army moves the church of God;
    Brothers, we are treading where the saints have trod.
    We are not divided, all one body we,
    One in hope and doctrine, one in charity.

    Refrain

    What the saints established that I hold for true.
    What the saints believèd, that I believe too.
    Long as earth endureth, men the faith will hold,
    Kingdoms, nations, empires, in destruction rolled.

    Refrain

    Crowns and thrones may perish, kingdoms rise and wane,
    But the church of Jesus constant will remain.
    Gates of hell can never gainst that church prevail;
    We have Christ’s own promise, and that cannot fail.

    Refrain

    Onward then, ye people, join our happy throng,
    Blend with ours your voices in the triumph song.
    Glory, laud and honor unto Christ the King,
    This through countless ages men and angels sing.

    Refrain

    Absolutely !! We should all be outraged. If anyone knows of email addresses for the building dept, or any organization that is associated with this that we can contact (perhaps someone on here who lives in NYC) PLEASE post it so we can express our outrage also.

    KUDOS to those in NYC who showed up June 6. I heard it was like 10,000 people.

    Did we ever stop to think that if we are allowed to limit the construction of ONE religious building due to "offending people"; it sets a precedent for forbidding the contruction of OUR churches, too?
    Considering that this religion goes around the world killing thousands of people....are you kidding me? Do you see churches being built in Saudi Arabia? They are burning churches in the middle east. They are building this mosque as a "monument" to their success on 9/11. It is a huge stab in the eye of our country.

    Let's get our heads out of the sand, and understand what we are battling against. Let's learn about this enemy.......I have, and I can assure you, this mosque has to be stopped. Someone has to have common sense up in NYC.

    Exactly! There's a HUGE DIFFERENCE between Christianity and islam. You give the devil an inch and he'll take a mile, just as you open the door to him a crack and he'll barge right in. Same with the virus called islam. Once they claim an area it's going to be harder than pulling teeth to get them out of it. One ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

    If ANY of you Americans or Christians in other countries are welcoming the ingress of sharia law then by all means worry that our God-less government will start cracking down on church building in the US. Every church in the muslim or commie countries are underground because they WON'T allow them to build churches over there. In the case of China, the "national state church" they have is a joke because their commie government won't allow a REAL church there. It's too much for their evil to tolerate.

    What do you think Israelis and Jews would do if someone wanted to build a monument to Adolph Hitler smack dab in Jerusalem?? Just let it happen? Those who know what needs to be done aren't going to be politically correct nor are they going to worry about offending their enemies. The muslims sure don't seem to worry about offending US...
    What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31

    And that is the thing that is so beautiful about Jesus, is loving him out are free choice to just love him. I feel sorry for people who just don't see or get it. He gaves us free will. God is no different, he wants us all to love him, just because we do, we want to. No one wants to force someone to love them. I love the beauty of God. He is so fair and so just!

    I am so glad I am not the only one who also thinks this. The Lord could have very easily created us to be perfectly obedient children, but He created us with a free will because He wants us to love Him because we love Him, not because we have been 'programmed' to do so.
