Now when these things begin to take place, look up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near Luke21:28

Short answer, yes. Detailed answer, refer to Rei's post above.

After quite a number of years of being a little in the wilderness but just keeping one eye opened, it wasn't until mid-January 2011 when the Lord really woke me up out of my slumber! Seriously I haven't looked back since, and a steady stream of continual prophetic events (or at least events leading to some huge showstopping events on the horizon other than the ones we have seen so far) just amazes me and has given me a renewed sense of the soon coming of Jesus and our rapture!

I know at least some of the unbelievers are getting the message. My sister is new age, and she wants to know where she can buy a ticket back to earth, she does not know what planet she was translocated to but she does not like it and wants to go back home. I agree, the earth I remember seems to be gone. This is a different world altogether. It is eerie, absolutely eerie.

I have probably missed something.. but what happened on January 29, 2011?
My son, do not make light of the Lords discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son. Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children.

I have a differing opinion. I think it is a general decay in society rather than the decay into the Tribulation Period. The context of Matthew 24 refers to within the Tribulation Period, so it is yet still future.

As bad as we think things are, the Bible does say it can and will grow worse as the true Tribulation Period starts. <><

    Agreed.

(Matthew 24:8NASB ["the beginning of birth pangs"], and the verses immediately preceding it [vs 4-7], line up with the things in Revelation 6--which is during the tribulation period, leading up to His promised/prophesied earthly Millennial Kingdom, at His Second Coming. "Signs" are for Israel [not the Church; 1 Corinthians 1:22a]... and these "signs" Jesus gives throughout Matthew 24 are for those in the trib to know that His Second Coming is near.)

The Egyptian uprisings, which started all the craziness this year.

And Matthew 24 does talk about the tribulation, so the fact we see all its signs here and now this year means that we're extremely close to the tribulation, which means we're extremely close to the rapture.

Incidentally it was the Egyptian uprisings that first captured my attention as well. This as well as some sudden strange and severe weather patterns that hit Australia in January. Then everything just took off from there.

It is interesting when you talk to older folks - who lived through the Depression, or survivors of the Holocaust.

It can seem pretty bad to us, but in a way we've yet to see anything. We really are so blessed right now.

But there is a significant difference.

Israel is back. Her presence has stirred the world ever since. From the Time Joshua crossed over, to the ransacking by Assyria....the return and re expulsion.....

to 1948. It was indeed a miracle - act of God and is one of the boldest witnesses to His sovreign power: He raises up kings and kingdoms.

We could ask why not earlier? Why now? Why not a 1000 years from now....

And it could verywell be another 1000 years.

But the best time to catch the prepared is when they are tired, worn down and dozing.

Oh I expect we'll get a prompt, but when the trump sounds....

How many will reach for the snooze alarm?

My question is how long does it take for things to begin to come to pass? It seems to me that things have been beginning to come to pass for a loooooooooong time. Well that is probably just my impatience.
I like to think we are near the end of the beginning of the sorrows.

Question Generation that sees the birth of Israel

DH & I are in a weekly Bible study on Wednesday night on the book of Revelation. We are trying to recall a verse that we feel is in the Bible. That talks about the generation that sees the birth of Israel is the last before the rapture. Are we confused or is there a verse that talks about it. Thanks for the help.
I have my HOPE in JESUS because HE made a CHANGE in me.

Well ultimately, it comes down to the way the person interprets the scripture. The one your talking about is Matthew 24:32-35. Jack Kelley has a good study on his website Gracethrufaith, here is the link to the study; http://gracethrufaith.com/ikvot-hama...gn-of-the-end/
Isaiah 41:13 "For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you."

Hebrews 13:5 "Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,

    'Never will I leave you;
    never will I forsake you.'"

Jesus will not leave you, even when everyone else deserts you, he never will.

I tend to think of the Tribulation period as the time of real sorrows, but I think we are kind of in a time of "mini" sorrows for sure.

Perhaps this is the transitional period where we are beginning to encounter the effect of the tribulation period as the world heads into it. We are on the cusp so to speak!
