    Did some word study.

I found it interesting that turning, repenting, seeking God is for everyone.

But healing is reserved for Israel, or more so the land of Israel.

Although the Lord heals the broken hearted, that is an individual action. No other land has such a promise.

'If my people, which are called by my name...' Is not His name Christ?
Are His people not called Christians?

'shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face,
Key words there is... 'seek His face'
Only complete belief in Jesus Christ will cut the mustard.

'and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.'
Right now America is so polluted that the people don't even know they are sick.

The verse is not a prayer.
This verse is a promise for whosoever will comply.

    Acts 17;11

"I am the Good Shepherd, I know my sheep and my sheep know me."

"Let no one judge you in respect of an holy day or of the sabbath day." Col 2;16

I'm just going to make a few statements...

First, it's important to pray for our leaders, and since America is a republic with elections, it is also important for us to elect officials that will represent our values. Not necessarily make everything we hold true the law of the land, per-sea, but at least protect the unborn and preserve freedom of religion and other freedoms and rights.

Second, America's ultimate fate is up to God in the end. If God chooses to continually bless America for the sake of his Church, then may his will be so. If God desires to bring his wrath against America because of her immorality, then may his will be so.

Third, We just don't know exactly how god will deal with his Church should he desire to end America, or strike America with judgement. Perhaps the church will be raptured out of America before his judgement comes. Or the Church might be given a dwelling place either in a part of America set aside by God for his people, or in another land. Or perhaps the Church also goes through the punishment erected on America. All we can do is be praying for God to grant mercy to America and His Church, and that we will be attentive to his will.

Take a look at Abraham, Lot, and the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. Abraham interceded with God until God agreed that if their was just ten people who where just, then we wouldn't destroy the city. As it turned out, their wasn't even ten people just, however, Lot and his family was warned to leave the city before it's destruction, because Lot feared the Lord and headed the Angels instruction. Unfortunately, Lot's wife looked back toward the city during the city's judgment, and she was turned into a pillar of salt.

The long story short, we do need to pray for our leaders and do what we can, but we also have to be attentive to the Lords will and be ready to follow his orders, even if they may sound unpleasant to us at first glance.
