There are two possibilities:

1. They truly believe that hyper-Keynesianism will push the economy forward, AND they don't understand that excessive regulations and taxation kills the engine of our economy. (I'm willing to believe this about a lot of people in the Dem. wing: that they truly are ignorant, as well as having a visceral dislike for private enterprise.)

2. They want to destroy our economy in order to remake the US into a "fair" (aka, Communist) society. Millions of people losing their jobs and their homes is small potatoes compared to the millions who were starved to death, were purged and otherwise killed under Lenin and Stalin.

3. (Like Monty Python's Spanish Inquisition, I keep adding to my list.) Some want to destroy the US, period.

Put these three groups together, add in a bunch of ignorant, race-obsessed followers, and a sycophantic press, and you've got yourself a fast road to ruination.

It is abundantly clear that he and his wife hate this country and since he's been in office he has not done ONE THING to help us; only to tear us down. Sad but true. Don't let a good crisis go to waste....all of this is right out of Saul Alinsky 's book "Rules for Radicals~A Pragmatic Primer for Realistic Radicals" written in 1971. This has been planned for many yrs.....dumb down the students and the masses...implement the programs, slowly this time.....not like the 60's violent radicals tried before.

I'm with ThePenguin--it's the Cloward and Piven strategy. Just look at the people he has sought out and the ones that surround him. They all believe that the America that most of us know needs to be destroyed to be remade in their vision, which looks a lot like most communist systems.

Looking at what we DO know of his background, actions, etc. all seem to point, IMHO, to a deliberate and systematic attempt to destroy this country.

If you study the goals of the radical left it's easy to see this crisis is deliberate.

They chipped away at the foundation of our country for decades until the "perfect" leader from their ranks could gain power. Once in the White House that leader would knock the weakened structure completely down and start over with a Marxist utopia.

It's happening before our eyes. Sometimes I have to laugh watching Obama and his crew. If they only knew how close they are to seeing it all destroyed by the King of Kings.

They already have more money than they could ever spend. They've wanted to do it for years, they do it when they are able. Right now, he is able. Come November, it seems like the brakes will be applied. I don't think the liberal desire to remake the world into their image, could be construed as wanting to destroy this country, or to lay waste to the economy. They intended to implement socialized health care when we were vulnerable, and they did it, they apparently didn't waste their opportunity. Next is to get us to ride our bikes to work, cuz thats all green n stuff. Who knows, maybe private property rights will come up at some point if the Dems stay in charge, all the same stuff they have always wanted.

They got the Lord out of the picture long ago, so its just downhill from here.
