All I had to do was Google news for "dead fish" and "dead birds" and the above headlines screamed out from the screen. And I came to this thread to post about a CNN clip on dead dolphins washing up on the Peruvian coastline.

It's like an epidemic of animal kill offs raging all over the planet. Increasing pollution, use of strange new devices like high powered sonar in the sea, increased mining...its all a perfect storm coming together.

It just goes on and on...I've just googled "dead dolphins", "dead porpoises", and keep coming up with stories of mass die offs. Or animals going extinct.

It seems more and more of God's benign, harmless creatures are dying off...and unpleasant critters are rushing in to fill the niches. I watched another news item on CNN about how Atlantic fishermen can't catch any lobster these days...they only come up with poison barbed lion fish. The trawlers have just about fished the sea clean of cod and tuna...and jelly fish are taking over. There's plenty of fish in the sea...nope, there ain't!

I did some research into fish farming a while back. I learned that there is a large risk that a disease outbreak will kill off all the fish. The risk of disease increases as the fish are under more stress. Most of what I read said that being crowded in tanks like the fish are puts them under increased stress. reading about all these fish deaths makes me think, that the stress levels of fish in the oceans/lakes/rivers these days may be high too.

Yeah saw that one earlier today (AEST). Their explanation is unsatisfactory as they cannot explain why the sudden surge of deaths, unlike the data that shows much smaller numbers from previous deaths from starvation due to changing ecological conditions.

This is related to the Isaiah 24: 4,5,6 reference. I wish I could remember the source of the article where scientists believe that the sun is going through a variance of change and has been since the late 1970's. I'm not sure of the validity of this report so don't quote me on it. God is about the shake the heavens and the earth--it has to happen before His glorious return.

The deaths continue to climb. Scientists for the Peruvian government state the cause is "warmer than usual" water temperatures which has reduced the food for the birds. The warm water theory is now being linked to recent bird die-offs along the Chilean coast as well.

    Snipped from the link below:

Meanwhile, experts agree that Peru’s dolphin deaths were unrelated to the seabird die-off. But the government’s insistence that the dolphins likely died from a virus, rather than oil prospecting, has also come in for criticism.

Vet Carlos Yaipen-Llanos, of Peruvian marine conservation group Orca, has carried out autopsies on 30 dolphins and found “categorical” evidence of the animals dying from the bends — the popular term for the decompression sickness suffered by scuba divers if they race up to the surface too fast.

The dolphin autopsies revealed fractured bones in the dolphins’ ears, and blood and bubbles in their sinuses. That indicates, Yaipen-Llanos believes, that oil companies’ seismic testing — involving underwater explosions — has caused the animals to panic, surfacing too rapidly.

“We have received no pressure to rule out seismic testing,” Quijandria said, adding that Yaipen-Llanos and other environmentalists should hand over any evidence they have to the authorities.

The official toll is 877 confirmed dolphin deaths, but Yaipen-Llanos has counted 1,500 and believes that the real figure is likely much larger. “What you see on the beaches is just a small sample of what is going on out at sea,” he told GlobalPost.

Default Thousands of shellfish found dead in Peru

Seeing as how krill are a main food source for whales, it may not be long before we see reports of their deaths as well.

    By AFP
    May 25, 2012

Thousands of crustaceans were found dead off the coast of Lima following the mystery mass death of dolphins and pelicans, the Peruvian Navy said Friday.

The cause of death is under investigation, said Industry and Fishing Minister Gladys Triveno, warning that "it would be premature to give a reason for this phenomenon."

The Navy said it presented a report on the find to the Agency of Environmental Evaluation and Control to determine the cause.

Biologist Yuri Hooker of Cayetano Heredia University said the species found on Pucusana Beach, 60 kilometers (37 miles) south of Lima, was a type of red krill about three centimeters (1.2 inches) long.

"They live mostly along the coast of Chile up to the coast of northern Peru. What is happening is that these crustaceans are being affected by the warming of Pacific waters in the north of the country," he said, adding that the phenomenon occurs "with some frequency."

Your so right mbrown. What I think is happening,IMHO,is that God is showing us how close we are to the Rapture by giving us a small preview of what will happen during the tribulation. All these happenings are right out of Revelation's and our time is short...

Wow that is staggering. And these are just birth pains? What more does God have to do to get our attention?

Command news agencies to publish this on CNN and other such news outlets, along with certain Biblical passages from Revelation and Matthew 24 for instance. If people would actually see this stuff on the news, then they'd be concerned. Not publishing it is keeping the public ignorant and in this case, ignorance is not bliss.

The news spins the turmoil in the middle east as "the Arab spring". "Good news, democracy is coming." What a load of doodoo!!! (Sorry for the language.) It's the radical muslims taking over! Since there's no good way to spin the deaths of so many animals, all they can do is keep it quiet. Seven months ago, I was on the continent of Antarctica. Those penguins stink but they're so cute. I hate to see a story about 500 of them washing up dead on shore. I didn't see this story as one of Yahoo!'s headlines.

The news is a major problem. They hide or spin everything having to do with end times events. They don't like to acknowledge the Lord as sovereign, so they try their best to keep His wonderful Name out of the news. How many of you are aware that about 16 years ago, more or less, a gunman took hostages at the Focus on the Family HQ in Colorado Springs? Probably not too many, because that particular hostage situation, which came out ok in the end thanks to the Lords intervention, NEVER MADE THE NEWS!!

Christians know not to trust the world, we look at ALL the news, not just the news certain people want us to hear. As long as events are being hidden, as long as people are not aware of the fact that there are so many unusual deaths happening around the world in the animal kingdom, people have less reason to contemplate the Lord and the disposition of their eternal souls.

No doubt there would be many that would explain this away with the old excuse "this stuff always happens", but there are some who would believe and who aren't be reached because the truth is being purposely withheld by news sources. I would hate to stand before the Lord as an unrepentant sinner, all the more so if I had helped to hide His obvious warnings to repent.

It's so sad to see the animal world under attack like this. This is just the beginning. These things are only a warning right now, and our watchmen are not sounding the alarm. This preview of things to come should be causing mankind to repent, but thanks to all the smoke being blown our way thanks to news sources, most people are unaware of the warnings the Lord is sending us. Our Lord's return is moving closer to us by the minute. This horrible drought is setting up a large part of the world for famine and inflation.

I'm hoping the Lord returns for His church soon before I have to see much more of the suffering that our sins have caused the entire world to bear, especially the innocent animals, and before we have to see much more of the debauchery that mankind seems to thrive on these days. I'm looking forward to the world where the animals are not dangerous and are all vegetarians, where we don't use them as a food source, where the Lord is worshipped, obeyed and where He alone reigns, where I don't have to hear the term "gay pride" and where I can go out in public and enjoy myself, instead of being assailed by someones cigarette smoke causing me to choke (sorry smokers, I'm asthmatic). I love animals, I have pictures of me holding and kissing a bengal tiger cub, feeding an alpaca by hand, feeding a wild donkey by hand and petting her 4 day old offspring and other lesser animal encounters. I've had the experience of being on a small, 14 person boat, while a humpback whale came up right next to us to check us out. I enjoy these creatures and I'm looking forward to the time when they don't have to pay for our sins!

My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.
For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; the flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land; the fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.

    Baruch haba b'Shem Adonai!
