All I had to do was Google news for "dead fish" and "dead birds" and the above headlines screamed out from the screen. And I came to this thread to post about a CNN clip on dead dolphins washing up on the Peruvian coastline.
It's like an epidemic of animal kill offs raging all over the planet. Increasing pollution, use of strange new devices like high powered sonar in the sea, increased mining...its all a perfect storm coming together.
It just goes on and on...I've just googled "dead dolphins", "dead porpoises", and keep coming up with stories of mass die offs. Or animals going extinct.
It seems more and more of God's benign, harmless creatures are dying off...and unpleasant critters are rushing in to fill the niches. I watched another news item on CNN about how Atlantic fishermen can't catch any lobster these days...they only come up with poison barbed lion fish. The trawlers have just about fished the sea clean of cod and tuna...and jelly fish are taking over. There's plenty of fish in the sea...nope, there ain't!![]()
