Default Hey has anyone heard of Dr.Ouwar?

I've never heard of this guy. I just happened to read something and skimmed a couple of other things-it looks like he predicted a couple of the recent disasters and told people if they didn't repent these things would happen-just wondering if anyone knows anything about him?

Let's see. If people don't repent the world is going to see famines and earthquakes and pestilence and disease and floods and other natural disasters.

Seems to me someone making those claims is not going to have a hard time getting people to believe them?

I've seen quite a bit of the guy on another forum. Not impressed.

I don't bother with prophets I already have the Bible.

Nanny - moving your thread to apostasy, it will probaby get more action there.
I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name. Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth. (Rev. 3:8,10)

I'd never heard of him but he sounds interesting. I found this page that gives some insight:

< mod edit > Sorry, TT, no blogs.

Suffice it to say the information provided was very troubling, agreed?

I have a question about some of the clips I viewed......why do people fall over?

I've seen this with Benny Hinn. I do not recall this in the Bible. I find it a bit worrisome. What is going on when this happens?

Sorry, I'm not real savvy about recognizing a blog. I thought it was a foreign newspaper/magazine.

People involved in signs and wonders would tell you that the power of God is causing these people to be "slain in the spirit"

However........in the Bible when people fall backward, it is in the context of judgment. When we see people facing God, they are on their FACES before Him.

Sadly, spiritual manifestations in Benny Hinn's and the Toronto Blessing type movements seem to be the same as activation of the kundalini type--there are videos showing clips comparing the two experiences.

I know that I long to feel God's presence, and that is what sends people to a "revival" hoping to "feel" different. The Bible tells us to "test the Spirits". We do not want to quench the Spirit, but we do want to stay away from lying and deceiving spirits. You should always pray for discernment and protection from the Evil one. Test everything by Scripture. Drunk kind of behavior is contrary to the Bible which tells us to be sober and vigilant.

Default Dr. Owour a true or false prophet?

I've been reading around about this man after seeing his name mentioned here. Is it really possible for even a false prophet to be right on certain things? Need some help, here.

Sure. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

But the Bible has some pretty stern things to say about false prophets, and it sets very high standards.... a true prophet has to be right 100% of the time, or it's obvious that God is not speaking through them.

Mad Dr. Owuor: WHAT`S WRONG with him?

I`ve been following Dr. Owuor for a while and haven`t found fault with him.

Of course, exposing sin and warning of divine judgment doesn`t make you any friends but what was the job of the old prophets?

Moreover, it says in Malachi that BEFORE the DAY OF THE LORD comes, ELIJAH will come on stage.

Is there any doubt that he`s operating in the SPIRIT OF ELIJAH?

In fact, his ministry is even foreshadowing THE TWO WITNESSES!

That's just it. I'm wondering if anyone else has heard his teachings. Some things just don't add up. He appears to teach a partial rapture and that only those who are living in holiness will go, while the rest of the saved brethren will be left behind to face judgment. If someone else has anymore wisdom to add, please do. He does preach the message of Salvation and repentance from sin, though.

From what I've been reading, he has been 100% right on his prophesies. Just sayin'. This is just really confusing me because he preaches a partial rapture.

We don't need new revelations, and new prophecies from man, we already have a more sure Word of prophecy its God's Word. God has already outlined everything we need to know of the end times and according to His Word we are in the season of His return.
None of Dr. Ouwar's prophecies have come to pass and he's been doing it for years. If it doesn't line up with God's Word then don't believe it! We are living in very deceiving times and we must be on guard at all times.
He is coming! I shall know Him,
    Jesus! My Beloved Lord!
    Changed forever to His likeness;
Oh! What joy this will afford.

Dunno but false prophet is a pretty harsh term to be throwing around and should only be reserved for those that are truely leading the sheep astray If a teacher does not confess Jesus is Lord and lead you into doctrine away from the scriptures then they deserve the title of FP. If the prophecies simply havn't materialized then I would wait to see if the fruit ripens and go from there

You don't understand, I'm not calling him a false prophet. I'm merely raising the question as to whether he is or isn't. However, if what he preaches about the partial rapture is true, then one has to wonder is it him that is right and we are wrong? Do you get what I am saying? I mean, if he really is a prophet sent by God, then we better take heed, right? If that is the case, and I am not trying to promote a partial-rapture, but from what I have been reading, he says only those living in holiness will be raptured.

After reading around some more, I've come to my own conclusion about Dr. Owour, but would still like to hear some other's thoughts. Its interesting, the things that are being said, but I won't share them because I believe its blog postings.

I do request permission to post his website or something? Maybe do a google and you will find his website? Thanks!

Oh I see. How does he define "those living in holiness" in his teachings as I don't believe I've heard him state this in the handful of his videos I have viewed. Sorry
