    Agreed.
The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.
Day to day pours forth speech, And night to night reveals knowledge.

Penguin--Newton was a believer, good job.

If anything the size of the universe, the tools we have to investigate it, and the fact that we haven't found intelligent life out there only makes me think humans are that much more special/important.

That's something I've been hearing a lot lately declared as an absolute truth - that there IS intelligent life in the universe besides us, even though we've never seen it, the universe is so big there must be life elsewhere. And if you don't believe in aliens, you're considered an idiot.

Too much crazy talk these days.

All the verses about how God made the earth and the universe are fascinating, and I don't think heliocentricity and the Bible contradict each other at all. Phrases like 'the ends of the earth' may be used, but that's not a contradiction, it's an expression, just like we'd say 'the four corners of the earth', what corners? It's just another way of saying 'the whole earth, all of it'.

Revelation 22:17a The Spirit and Bride are now saying, "Come!" The ones who hear are now saying, "Come!" The ones who thirst are now saying, "Come!" Come LORD Jesus !

I suppose if evolution really were true then yes, there could be life out there on other planets. The problem is, of course, that this assumes that evolution is true. Scientists have found planets with water as well as planets that are in the supposed "habitable zone" of their star but the best thing these scientists will find is a soupy mixture of organic compounds.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

In the event of darkness, depression, sadness, or loneliness, your Bible can be used as a flotation device.

Yes. It's based on "quantum economics": It's impossible to tell how bad things are while simultaneously understanding the worthlessness of our economic policies.

    Ohhh... That has possibilities.

    It's a dark issue - not that it (anti)matters.

Funny how they can have so much faith in there being life out there......even though all the evidence we have is to the contrary........science is an evidenced based activity after all........just another reason why there is no internal consistency with the thinking of some in science today. Back in the day, a good scientist would easily claim 'science doesn't address that question' when it doesn't. Nowadays, the atheists have taken over science.

Next time one of your professors states they believe there is life out there, just tell him "my, my, such great faith!" See if he gets it.

Don't panic! Just be Rapture Ready.

    Joel 3:2

I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will put them on trial for what they did to my inheritance, my people Israel, because they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land.
