    Default World News Briefing

May 9th discusses this....inactivity by "O'....interesting, but not surprising how "O" is dismantiling our nuclear arsenal while Russia builds their's - apparently along with threatening Bibi.

It is no surprise about "O" inactivity- he wants the West's destruction along w/ Israel, whether from the inside out or from the outside in- it doesn't matter as long as it happens..........

We know magog will be coming against Israel and we know Damascus will be a ruinous heap- I only wonder how much destruction will be taking place here with "O's" agenda knowing no nation comes to Israel's defense....

...exciting, but heartwrentching times we live in.......

Just a couple of days ago was thinking that the next revision would surely exceed 100, 000. The new count from the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights estimates over 94, 000 have died so far from the civil war in Syria and that's probably still a conservative number.

94,000 dead in Syria war: revised toll

MORE than 94,000 people have been killed in more than two years of conflict in Syria, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said in a newly-revised toll.

The watchdog group said it revised the toll - just two days after it announced a tally of 82,257 dead - after receiving new information from regime-controlled Alawite areas of the Sunni-majority country.

"Based on this information, the number of martyrs and dead killed since the beginning of the Syrian revolution is more than 94,000," it said in a statement.

The group said it had received new figures from areas including Tartus and Latakia - strongholds on the Mediterranean coast of the Alawite minority to which President Bashar al-Assad belongs.

The information showed "that the number of casualties among the ranks of the Alawite community was much higher than the observatory's statistics which were published two days ago."

Israel warns Assad not to retaliate to airstrikes

A senior Israeli official signaled on Wednesday that Israel was considering further military strikes on Syria to stop the transfer of advanced weapons to Islamic militants, and warned Syrian president Bashar Assad, that his government would face crippling consequences if it retaliated against Israel, the New York Times reported.

“Israel is determined to continue to prevent the transfer of advanced weapons to Hezbollah . The transfer of such weapons to Hezbollah will destabilize and endanger the entire region," the official said in an interview.

“If Syrian President Assad reacts by attacking Israel, or tries to strike Israel through his terrorist proxies,” the official said, “he will risk forfeiting his regime, for Israel will retaliate.”

The newspaper noted that the Israeli official has been briefed by high-level officials on the Syria situation in the past two days and had contacted The New York Times on Wednesday.

The New York Times report speculated that Israel “could be trying to restrain Syria’s behavior without undertaking further military action, or alerting the international community to another strike. That would ratchet up the tension in an already fraught situation in Syria, where a civil war has been raging for more than two years.”

Default Syria ex-minister leads rebuilding plan

    Interesting... Hmmm...

Syrian ex-minister leads team planning for reconstruction of war-ravaged country

    http://finance.yahoo.com/news/syria-...132034533.html

BEIRUT (AP) -- A six-member U.N. team led by a former Syrian planning minister is drawing up a comprehensive postwar reconstruction plan even as the country's civil war rages on with no apparent end in sight.

A joint U.S.-Russian push to bring together Syria's political opposition and representatives of President Bashar Assad's regime to negotiate a peaceful transition has given their work new urgency.

In a rare interview, the U.S.-educated economist, Abdullah al-Dardari, told The Associated Press that more than two years of fighting have cost Syria at least $60 billion and caused the vital oil industry to crumble. A quarter of all homes have been destroyed or severely damaged, and much of the medical system is in ruins.

Now, he says, the Syrians have to be ready to rebuild when the fighting ends. He says his team has been overwhelmed with requests for a reconstruction plan to support the U.S.-Russian initiative on the off chance it succeeds....
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me....
