I can't help but think how we look no different than our Islamic enemies that also dance in the streets when one of their enemies are killed . Shouting in victory over the death of our enemy ..
Are we as Christians suppose to rejoice in the fall of our enemies ?
Or are we to be thankful to God who took care of our enemy for us?
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, so if God is establishing Obama and giving him another 4 years through this ,than so be it. God's ways are higher than our ways..

How would you have reacted back on May 1, 1945 when you got word that Adolf Hitler had committed suicide? How would you have reacted when WW2 ended. I've read Proverbs and I understand what it says. The simple fact is not all will accept Christ as their Saviour. And some such as Hitler, Stalin, Hussein, bin Laden, etc. are evil and most likely demon possessed individuals who kill thousand and even millions of souls depriving some of the opportunity to be saved. I would not go dancing in the streets at the death of bin Laden....however I did hang my American flag up this morning as I'm proud of our intelligence community and brave soldiers that killed this evil man. One other thing, how will we respond at the death of the anti-christ and the false prophet? Will we take no joy in that?

I hope this doesn't sound too cynical but I have the feeling that Satan gave up Osama to help Obama get re-elected. We know Satan has no love for those he uses if he can accomplish a greater evil by sacrificing a pawn he would do so in a heartbeat.

it's an incredibly hard subject to balance, and I agree, I'm sober and not celebrating now, but I have thought, "surely when the Anti-Christ is overthrown we'll be cheering and celebrating and giving Jesus glory." But then again, when the AntiChrist is actually overthrown, won't Satan be indwelling his body?

I so agree with you about this. I think we need to be even more diligently watching and sharing the gospel. There are too many people in this world who are headed for eternal damnation and I have to believe that, with all that we see happening, our time here is extremely short. Every day we need to realize that today is the day to share the gospel because we could be gone before tomorrow dawns.

I agree, some people on this board (not all) show more compassion towards Osama, a man who masterminded the murder of 3000 US citizens, than they do towards the president of our country.

I think it was the right decision, especially with Holder as AG, no telling where he would have put this guy on trial. I really hope they release some pictures, the longer they hold out, the more people are going to think it's some type of hoax. I have no doubt the man was killed last night, I just think the whole thing would have been more effective had the military announced the news and showed pictures similar to the way they did when they caught sadam.

But remember the uproar over those photos of Saddam? Something about not parading POW's for ridicule. A Geneva Convention thing most countries agree upon for anyone's captured military.

Hi. I spent 7 or 8 hours yesterday cleaning a tenant's apartment. 5 of us worked on the "clean" apartment that the tenant left us. So much filth. Layer after layer of soot from candles. . . ?

As we drove home I contemplated and wanted to literally weep over the filth at every level that the world lives in - spirit, soul and body. How do you share the true life, light and the Cleansing Power of Jesus' Blood with ones so content in filth?

To apply this to this thread, I came home in time to hear the President officially announce the death of Bin Laden. The sense of weeping just strengthened. It is all the same corruption. The world is not cleansed of evil because bin laden died and messiah o declared it. We cannot beautify ourselves or others. It is so very dark out there, my friends. Hearing all of the news yesterday was like stepping back into that gross apartment before we cleaned it.

I pray for the peace of Jerusalem. I pray for you that your light will shine and be received in the world where you are assigned by Our Wonderful LORD. I pray for His kingdom to come and His will be done on earth as IT IS in Heaven.

In the past it was the custom to have public hangings in America. We also stood up the corpses of Western villains on public streets as a warning. The bodies of Bonnie and Clyde, Dillinger, and a host of other bad guys were photographed ad nauseum and can be gawked at to this day.

Fast forward to the present and imagine the reaction if we were to put Bin Ladin's body on display - especially on our own soil. There would be comparisons of our nation to Vlad the Impaler's Rumania.

What is the reason that we did not capture him rather than kill him if we knew for certain where he was? The order was to kill him.

I've heard several times that they first asked if he would surrender and when it was apparent he would not (no details on what that was), they shot him in the head (in case he had an explosive vest on.)

I'm assuming now he went to reach for a weapon since they say it was a gun battle.

Hoping to learn more on exactly how it all went down.

I don't necessarily agree with why they did not show photos. I am only trying to explain why I think they did not. And our government is very PC. They are afraid (though they will not admit it) of riling up people with photos of a target practice OBL.

Kinda funny really. The PC people will not admit that the reason that they did not show the photos of OBL as Navy Seal target practice, is that they are afraid of inflaming "peaceful" Muslims. Instead probably doing it out of "respect" for Islam.

I think that is an excellent question. They killed this man, then later after death did dna to indentify whether it is or not. It would be something after all this media stir up if they found through that dna the guy was someone else. I wonder if they would even admit publicly the mistake? scary thoughts

When our Navy Seals first arrived, they asked someone else there if this man was Bin Laden, he said he was. Confirmation.

They also did a facial measuring thing to see if it matched, post mortem, and took DNA to match with either Bin Laden's own or a family member. More confirmation.

They also took much intel from the compound - further proof it is Bin Laden.

Bad move in my opinion, they're inviting conspiracy theories, not just in the U.S. but all over the world. I'm pretty sure that everybody in the world would be interested in seeing his body. There has been a ton of reports that he died a long time ago, which is pretty fair considering he was on kidney dialysis.

The military should have been the ones putting this out, we're getting 2nd hand news from the media and Obama, people with no credibility. I think they got the guys, but I'll tell you, it looks fishy since there are many who think he's been dead for years. If they don't produce pictures, this is going to turn into a massive conspiracy theory.
