I stopped at a business during lunch, and several were talking about the Camping date.

Seemed to be a good knowledge of the Rapture amongst the people involved. Also the fact that Camping is a false prophet (missed the last time) has people checking his story.

they will be making an established point that Camping is wrong again. Doing it before would hold little weight as the day, Camping prophesy would not have passed yet. You cannot show someone is a false prophet if their prophesy is still yet to come.

Makes it more difficult to show the followers Camping is wrong, again. Doing it before just comes across as mocking, and I bet the followers have been prepped for mocking, from the world, by Camping.

And if mocking from Christians comes before, the followers will be re-affirming Camping's words that anyone saved after 1988 are not really saved.

The RRRadio show has covered a lot of this stuff Camping is telling his followers,.

You still cannot call Camping a false prophet if his prediction is not proven false yet.

There are those who are out there trying to show, beforehand, a thousand times, that Camping is wrong.

But for his followers, that means nothing. When you join a cult-like group (Camping says all people not of his group are false Christians, and has been for years) and believe the Leader.

People decrying the "Leader" just look uninformed - to the followers, and "boy, are they going to be surprised when Camping is proven right on the 21st.", is going to be what is going through the follower's minds. That is going to be Camping's follower's attitude, right up until he is proven wrong. And only maybe then will they think he was wrong. He has been wrong before, and yet Camping has another following, again.

Look at the people who got out of Koresh's self-destruction. Some of them still believe Koresh was right, to this day. I have seen the interviews.

A cult mentality is not your normal reasoning behavior. People who join these groups are already susceptible to wrong thinking. Very susceptible. Otherwise, people's red flags would raise when the "Leader" starts his spiel in the first place.

You are trying to apply normal reasoning to a cultic mentality. It is not possible. The followers already know what Camping used to justify his claims - the verses and the "accounting numbers". He wrote it all down and declared it right, "cause he said so". And his follower's drank some koolaid and saindm, "OK".

There are peole who are actually organizing an event to address this.

And it is expected for the media to start publiciszing the failed predictions of a "Christian". The atheists are going to be out there in force. That is also supposed to be a planned event.

The reasaoning behind the atheist event is the theory that Camping's failed "prophecy" is going to be the "death knell" to Christianity.

Again, RRRAdio has been covering this.

Camping has been creating billboards all over the country with his "judgment on the world" stuff. The world is going to hammer Christians, all over the country, o how the Bible was "wrong". Cause Camping is claiming that the Bibles says exactly the date of May 21, 2011, is proven by the Bible and no way, no how, is it wrong.

I do not think you understand what a horrible witness this is to Christianity, here in the States. We, Christians, are not going to be busy showing Camping's follower's how wrong he is. We are going to be mocked and demanded to explain why Camping is wrong. That is why many of us are launching pre-May 21 explanations on why not to listen to Camping and we can show where Camping made up his numbers.

The news casts are already talking about these billboards. You can bet they are going ti try and be there, on May 22, to hear some "splainin" from Camping.

And atheists never pass up a chance to mock Christians and lump us in with the false ones.

This is going to do some serious damage to furthering sound Bible prophecy.

I looked over Camping's so-called "logic" that Dave Reagan pointed out. There's not one valid thing in it at all.

But we are definitely seeing the signs of the times; which they don't reference in this stuff at all (maybe they do elsewhere).

This will only make the mockers howl even louder.

(yeah, by pure coincidence (or perhaps not) I got on the freeway about 4-5 weeks ago and drove right by a convoy of 4 of the trucks - 2 minutes earlier or later, I would have never seen them)

I would suggest a protest BEFORE and AFTER. If local folks are near the place noted.

We need billboards that say, "May 21st - Just another normal day. Want to go see a movie? Maybe play a board game or something?"

You know, I've been thinking about how atheists will react; we must remember that these people will use any reason they can to mock Christianity, even if it can be easily and logically proven that Camping is a liar and a fraud. It's impossible to give a defense to a person who has no interest in hearing one. Of course, as always, atheists, like everyone else, just need the Gospel (although it wouldn't hurt to point out Matthew 24:36 with regards to Camping).
