But I can't blame them, I am supposed to overcome temptation and God wouldn't lead me down a path I can't handle, right?

Quitting pornography was very difficult at first and after some hard training became a way of life. But I feel my body retrained itself to just be creative to lead me down the same path. Very frustrating. For my friends who suffer problems with pornography, remember that the magazines, the videos, etc are only half the battle.
    I agree totally.

To tell you the truth, I felt like I was addicted to porn (and yes it is an addiction, like any other drug). And to tell you how bad I was, I had over 100 GIGS of porn and went and bought another hard-drive JUST to stash my porn

I knew it was sinful and felt very dirty and unclean and unworthy of God's Love... but I still did it, because like I said it is an addiction.

I prayed over it constantly and one time I heard the Lord tell me 'Delete'. That's all He said, and I didn't have to think twice.

I went over and deleted every last one of them

It's still a struggle and I find myself having impure thoughts and know I will stumble and sin before it's all over with, and I hate myself for that

But I take comfort in knowing that God's Love triumphs over sin

    My Rapture/Left Behind Message

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast.

A Government big enough to give you anything you want, is also big enough to take away everything you have

I can relate to this. The fashion industry really needs to tone it down on skinny jeans and "inappropriate looking" spandex pants . It seems like it's getting provocative every year. And today's society don't realize this.......

    ... the battle continues....

    But so does the prayer

Lord be our eyes, our hearts, our minds. Guide every thought.

The temptations come in barrages, the fighting is intense sometimes,

    But YOU are our shield,

    YOU are our victory,

and sometimes You are the medic who carries us from the battlefield and tends our wounds - regardless if we were fools or not when we got them.

Still praying and in agreement with Wally. There is this woman at work who knows how to turn me on. Bless her and bless me as I consider and pray if I will ask her out. I don't even know if she is a christian...I'll find out. Mercy me.

ing for both of you. To willfully manipulate someone is not a loving thing to do, but that is often the struggle against the flesh.

Praying that in your investigation of her faith you find grace to discuss God's desire for man over our desires for self.

Start relationships with Jesus. Those kinds last.

As for temptation, ing for your strength, and that you see with God's perspective.

Consider this turn of phrase and how doing so objectifies a person. That's no way to even begin thinking about a relationship. You might wish to rethink just exactly what it is you honestly wish to accomplish by getting to know her.

Thank you for giving me insight here. I am getting older and realize that my relationship with Christ Jesus is of the utmost importance. But I feel like it is my time while God is telling me to wait for His timing...this I will do. I look back at this life and see all the deserters who have come and gone. I see One constant...my friend and Savior. Steve53...thank you, bro.

I know I have many sins in my life, and I battle many things, but this one seems to be the worst and hardest for me. I feel for you guys and completely understand. I agree that the fashion of this day doesn't help the case and most women are worldly and dress quite provacative. I've even see some women come to church dressing a bit too provacative, especially in the Lord's house!

    Default Confession

There are very few men who do not struggle with lust. The following verses penned by Paul sounds like he had struggles too, whether it was lust or not we do not know.

    Romans 7:14-25

14*We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. 15*I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16*And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17*As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18*For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature.[c] For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19*For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. 20*Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.

21*So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. 22*For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; 23*but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. 24*What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? 25*Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!

So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature[d] a slave to the law of sin.

We are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone. We are wretched sinners and He is a wonderful Savior. When we repent and put our faith in Jesus as our Savior we are justified and as someone mentioned earlier, He will give us his Spirit to help us through the lifelong process of sanctification. Keep repenting and asking for His help and you will eventually hate the sin like God does as you grow in Holiness. I am speaking from personal experience. I would also like to recommend Wretched TVs Slaying the Dragon. That reminds me, it is time for me to listen to it again. If you are in Christ it is his plan for you to overcome sin. I will be praying for you and I.

Thank you, Wretched for this. I keep visiting a porn site and I am sick of it. It is time to give it to the Lord again. He is my Deliverer and my Salvation! I will endure just as Yeshua has commanded us to do. Praying for everyone here...pray for me.
