Default Jaw Saw - Safe chain saw

This is one of the best tools I own. It's right up there with my cordless screwdriver and pressure washer! You can cut limbs right on the ground without propping them up! My wife got this for me for Father's Day. I think it's the best thing since sliced bread! It really works great and just as advertized! If you know anyone who needs to trim or cut up tree branches, this is the tool for them!

    Neat Tool.

But I'm a dedicated Stihl user. Nothing but the Best. One FS76 stihl going strong after 1000's of hours hard farm use, and DBW is on her 3rd electric line trimmer.

Actually I finally replaced the line trimmer/ head after 15+ years.

Maybe Stihl will add an attachment like this for their trimmers.

My ultimate preference goes to the husqvarna, though the Stihl is probably not a lesser machine. I have four chainsaws in the garage. The husky is the big work horse and the others are for smaller jobs or for getting one of the other chainsaws unstuck from a tree...

On the other hand, fingers are still the best tool for tatting the most delicate lace.

TT, YES! You are prepared! More than once did a pinch require an extra saw....

    Or a front-end loader.

Okay, I've got 4 chainsaws and believe it or not I've still got 10 fingers for tatting... only problems is I don't have a clue what tatting is. Tat, tat, tat... whatever does machine gun fire have to do with delicate lace?

Tree trimming - yellow pages. MAKE SURE the trimmer is insured.

And it is best to shop around.

Most trees I drop on my own, but when structures are near, I get a pro.

I had one tree felled right on target - hit the stake. But some trees thewy have to branch and then take apart.

I save on cleanup as I render the tree into firewood or lumber and mulch. It helps having a tractor.

I think to fell a tree is up to $500. Cleanup adds to the price.
I had one quote for 5 trees at $4500 but he wanted to do it all.

The guy I hired took them down for $600 and I cleaned up and one tree was within 3 feet of my garage.

Husky or Stihl are both the workhorses around here in the oaks and hickorys timber market. It comes down to two things:
1- What did your daddy use
2- Who does the best service and how easy to get parts

Here we have the Stihl Dist. center/warehouse so most loggers run Stihl

My MIL got one for my FIL for Christmas. I picked it up in the box, and it seemed very light. We didn't get a demonstration while we were there, but I saw a commercial for it, and it seems to be a good saw.

Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. 1 Peter 4:12-13

For me to live is Christ!
