Default The Cross in our bodies~ Amazing!

'Laminins are a family of proteins that are an integral part of the structural scaffolding of basement membranes in almost every animal tissue' You see.... Laminins are what hold us together.. LITERALLY. They are cell adhesion molecules. They are what holds one cell of our bodies to the next cell. Without them, we would literally fall apart.

Now tell me that our God is not the coolest!!! Amazing. The glue that holds us together.... ALL of us.... Is in the shape of the cross. Immediately Colossians 1:15-17 comes to mind.

Our bodies are also in the shape of the cross. go and stand in the sun with arms outstretched and look at your shadow if you have never done so.

    Yay! 'Knitted together"!

I'm a volunteer counselor at a pregnancy center, so often have the blessing of sharing faith with the young woman across from me...

If her test is positive, I always ask if I can share Ps 139 (the "Pro-Lifer's Psalm" ) --- and almost all say "OK".....

Vs 13 is my favorite one:

    13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb
I always declare that David, the shepherd/King would have know nothing about DNA ...yet he described
    our being "knitted together"---
Then I ask if they've ever seen a DNA helix (and demonstrate it, using my hands)

    http://www.ucmp.berkeley.edu/glossary/gloss3/dna.html

and ask "What do the strands wrapping the helix look like?"

    Answer: Yarn or thread!

(Do you know, I've just realized that the laminin "cross" is also wrapped about, in just the same way! WOW!!! )

David was inspired to use exactly the right term!
(BTW, some translations omit the word "knitted" and lose a lot, I feel! )

We are indeed fearfully and wonderfully made!!

    Thank You, Lord!

    Default Very Cool

This is a very neat observation. Love it.

Wow! The awesomeness of God the Father, it never ceases to amaze!

Makes me sad to think of all who ignore/deny his presence.
