There is a pretty infamous fault line in between those two states known as the New Madrid fault line... hopefully it stays quiet.

I know we Christians don't need a sign but last night, for the first time, I prayed to the Lord to give those that are lost a sign that will turn them to His word.

I can't help but believe He answered my prayer!

I wonder if the Washington monument is tilting to the left or the right? It seems that Washington has more damage than we do here near the center. We haven't lost power but the phones have been overloaded. We had an earthquake in September that sounded like someone pushed a dumpster down a ramp and it fell off. Today it started of like a series of small explosions that got louder and longer. The house started shaking and my first thought was the furnace was blowing up which would be hard since it is an electric heat pump. I grabbed my daughter and ran outside and was surprised that the shaking did not feel as strong outside as in the house.

Felt it here in MD. One thing that struck me was how helpless we would be if something big happened. I couldn't use my phone at all. I guess we shouldn't expect that we could get help if we needed it in a disaster. This is why we should be prepared to help ourselves (which I admit I'm not at this point).

Interesting observations:

We are almost exactly one lunar month away from the UN vote to divide Israel (9/20), a potential spiritual earthquake of Biblical proportions.

The recent Colorado and Virginia quakes were both on the 37th parallel.

The 37th parallel runs directly through the projected epicenter of the New Madrid seismic zone.

OK...so all you need to do now is pray for the rapture! You are the official prayer person for the rapture if God answer's your prayers so quickly...ha...ha (pray for the rapture).

Felt here on the coast of NC, even as I was packing a few things for a possible evacuation. I thought it was heavy wind, storms come early.

I ask myself the same thing ALL the time! I have so many dear friends and family members who claim to be saved, but who don't want to hear or talk about end time events at all. I'm not saying that in itself is a salvation issue, but it boggles my mind that Christians can not only show no interest in the Word, but that they can be so adamantly OPPOSED to it! So sad and frustrating!

Remember, nothing to see here, no reason to panic, move along...

Maybe he's right that the fault lines aren't actually connected??

I don't know, I'm not the expert. But they're definitely connected in a broader picture of the world.

You know, I'm in agreement with the TV people that says there's no reason to panic and panic doesn't help anyone... but for pete's sake, we need to be awake, and vigilant, and concerned, and *know* that there are reasons behind this and that things like this will continue to happen.

My daughter felt it up here in Southern Ontario, Canada....talked to my neighbour and she thought she was getting vertigo! I do believe it's a sign of the times! How interesting the timing and all....
We recently visited Philly and Va Beach as a family...(lovely vacation) so I can't imagine being in those big towers with desks shaking and all..Praying for you all and for our governments!!
