The Occupy Wall Street website says “We also encourage the use of nonviolence to achieve our ends and maximize the safety of all participants.”
The original call to occupy Wall Street was put out by a group called Adbusters, which describes itself as a “global network of culture jammers and creatives working to change the way information flows, the ways corporations wield power, and the way meaning is produced in our society.”
The hacker/protest group Anonymous has also reportedly thrown its support behind the Sept. 17 protest.

Oh boy. Nothing irks me more than malicious hackers. They're the terrorists of the internet. Little imps you can't ever reason with who exist only to cause chaos. These are the types of people we're facing.

Hi Buzz..interesting poster. I saw a program a few years ago about SEIU and their usage of communist recruiting posters and communist symbolism in the SEIU recruiting posters.

I'll see if I can find some of the pics of the old communist posters but your jaw will drop when you see the similarities. The Hammer is an obvious one--as well as the red and yellow colors used in the soviet flag. The beating of the Sword of Truth into what resembles a curved sickle more than a plowshare is another ( either way, state run agriculture under the Stalin regime starved 20,000,000 of their own people to death in labor camps)--scary tmes indeed..

I don't know, after seeing the website, it all seems a little weak and unorganized. I also question whether the US is actually that fed up with everything that is happening to begin this sort of thing. I realize there will definitely come a time when a large group of people are ready and willing to participate in something like this, - I just am not convinced that we are at that point yet. I could be wrong, but I just can't see it. Maybe they will get the support they desire, but I imagine it will fizzle out relatively quickly. Just imo though. They could however, be testing the waters for something bigger later on down the road. Who knows? I guess time will tell. Hopefully we will all get to go home soon, and we'll be watching from balcony seats!

Financial sunami maybe? Banks going under? I've been reading for almost a year of the probability of many large banks, etc. going under this year or next. At least, looking at the picture, that is what I get from it, but I'm just one person so who knows?

It is funny how the radicals picked such a date as Sept.17th.

Constitution Day commemorates the formation and signing of the U.S. Constitution by thirty-nine brave men on September 17, 1787, recognizing all who, are born in the U.S.
or by naturalization, have become citizens.

It's also the day when the camp david accords were signed.
Also the day when Russia teamed up with Germany against Poland.

There are a bunch of posters out there to view, but many have tracking links to subversive websites. Since we are dealing with hackers 'supreme' ... I thought it unwise to post any of them here.

Some of the posters are using E.U. images, others are calling for civil war, anarchy and the like.

This is a small grass-roots movement but they have the social media all a buzz, and are garnering more participants every day.

With media-hype it wouldn't take a big event to be publicized as much more than it is. Also, the participants could be 'mercenary' types verses people who have a real interest in what is being protested. Marantha!

This movement reminds us of the historic rag-tag armies General Washington commanded from 13 Colonies for the first American Revolution.

The new ones are also united in the spirit of the Tahrir Square revolutionaries: “One thing we all have in common is that we are the 99% that will no longer tolerate the greed and corruption of the 1%,” according to posts on the Occupy Wall Street website .
