Give Obama and the Democrats a couple of hours and I'm sure they can have it up over the $15 trillion mark later this afternoon. I'd like to know how Obama and the Democratic-led Senate unilaterally and without Congressional approval could have raised the debt ceiling by $500 billion? And why isn't Congress throwing a hissy fit over it? All I can say is that I certainly hope that this is the final nail in the coffins of Obama's and many of the Democrats' political careers come 2012. At the rate Obama and the Dems are going and with 14 months left until the 2012 elections, we could be staring down $25 trillion of debt! Seriously, I don't know if anybody is going to be able to clean up this economic nightmare that Obama and the Dems sent into overdrive after the Bush administration.

Unfortunately, I doubt it about it being the political nail in the coffin. THere are still a lot of people out there who worship at the alter of Obama (and yes, I mean those words - he is their idol).

Raising the debt ceiling is just "kicking the can down the road". Sooner or later we will get to the end of the road. IMO, we are already at the point of no return - meaning, we are soon to be at a point (if we're not there already) where we can't even pay the interest on our debt. Pitiful for our once proud legacy. We have mismanaged our way from being the largest creditor nation ever to being the largest debtor nation.

    :

I just looked at the interest on our debt, .....I looked at it for 2 min's....... We paid 4,000,000 (4 million dollars in 2 minutes) That's 2,000,000 a minute in interest we pay.

In one hour, that's 120,000,000 (120 million) in interest we are paying.
In 24 hours, that's 2,880,000,000(2.880 billion) in interest.
In 7 days, that's (20.16 Billion) in interest a week!
In 1 month, 31 days that (86.4 Billion) in interest a week!

We are adding almost 100 Billion to the debt just in interest each month, not including we still have more outgo than income with the economic issues. I really don't think anyone has an answer to our Debt issues. We will keep printing Money, and devaluating the Dollar. I don't know how this story will end, all I know this is a incredible circumstance and issue we are involved in.

The mind boggles... How on earth will we ever be able to pay all of this off? Even if Obama and many of his co-horts get fired come November 2012, the new POTUS will be left to deal with this monumental economic nightmare.

We'll never be able to pay it all off, but God certainly could in one swift nano-nano-nano second! Of course, soon we won't need to EVER be concerned about these things again! We'll be HOME with our Lord forever.... and ever!!!
Now when these things begin to take place, look up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near Luke21:28

OOOOHHHH yeah, EVERYONE, the Democrats, the Republicans, the Media, the Unions, even the average Joe is ignoring the reality of the situation. The Debt is one of those things that we all kindof go...I dont want to know and then cover our eyes and ears until eventually we will be faced with reality. We wont see it until then. No one will....Ok I am sure there will be some, but I am going to guess not many.

It's classic human nature: You don't miss your water 'til your well runs dry.

We now have "crisis management" instead of "routine oversight" - if you can call it any kind of "management". Mostly a bunch of finger-pointing. And it's not just our impossible debt - it's over-regulation, uneven taxation, a failed southern border, and on and on. With a White House that can only join in finger-pointing, while offering up only revised versions of previous band-aids, the future (from an economic standpoint) is bleak.

Default Obama is structurally changing America

It's looking to me like Obama really meant what he said about structurally changing the USA. He spoke of putting another system in place, remember? I get the feeling that what's happening now to the economy is what was he ultimately planned to happen in his mind so he could tear down capitalism and set up a Socialistic government. Right when other countries who have tried and failed are saying "Don't do this! Now we are watching the walls fall down right along with him and the liberals who wanted this social experiment. Kinda reminds me of an old saying,......Be careful for what you want,...you might get it! Of course people are mad at him! Even some of the liberals didn't know it would get this bad. It will take an act of God to clean up this mess!

It's vindicating (though cold comfort) to see liberal supporters (many of whom are out of work) now withdrawing their blind support of O. But the dye is cast - with an administration in a state of free fall, and the inevitable tides of globalism/socialism/government control already coursing over the waterfall, we have reached the point of no return.

We remain the most despised: Christian fundamentalists, sitting in the back of the boat already past the tipping point, singing hymns, passing out tracts, giving warnings on this board. We are hated because we don't pick up the oars of "going green", "hype and change", "Yes we can", or "Let's get those Republican obstructionists".

I don't know at which point over the event horizon we will separate from the boat and rise upward in an eyeblink while the Titanic II passengers continue to rearrange deck chairs and sing Kumbayah, but it will hardly be a lifetime.

Jimmy Carter said on last night's interview with Rachel Maddow (MSNBC) that he thinks the debt could rise to 21 trillion if we don't get a handle on it soon. He also said he didn't think anyone could beat Obama.

Yea, I don't agree with much that Jimmy has to say. Besides, his facials are so reptilian, it's downright scary.

Jimmy Carter?!?! I really don't like that guy. i thought he was the worst president in history, until the current. Also Jimmy is anti-Israel. I have heard him make many anti-Israel statements.

As far as the debt is concerned, no worries, I'll pay it off, aaahhh,, do they take credit card??
