Been watching this area for over 2 years, but recently control has skyrocketed

BUYER BEWARE aware of pretty sounding developments with names like "sustainable", "new urbanism", "smart grid", "green",

This is how it works:

• Developers are pushed by local government into rolling new project packages into government controlled Planned Developments (PD, DRI)
• Property Rights systematically eliminated, even though contracts require public interaction
  
  Government increases control over changes in development (ie HIGH density, mass transit, smart systems)
• High Density Housing, "smart grids", people herded from rural areas into inner city housing
• City County Government is member of ICLEI, remember projects like CABRINI GREEN

I have actually been through Cabrini Green back when I was in college with a friend who lived there, and we had gotten lost driving. It was a very dark place.

You know, the folks that lived there just moved downstate to places like Danville, IL, my hometown, Decatur, Springfield, etc. and now my hometown went from a safe, quaint town to grow up and raise a family to filled with violence and drugs. There are no towering complexes like Cabrini Green was, and it was Section 8 housing. I would have to get specifics from my mom about what they did to house the folks who made the move, but she did tell me that they put up billboards all over the place for this and they had choices about where to go---towns intensionally tried to attract these folks as residents...well the mayors did. This and the prison they built right on the county line about 20 years ago completely killed my hometown. It was going down anyway with the huge manufacturing losses it sustained, but this was the nail in the coffin.

There is a map out there & I'll try to find a link that is from the Agenda 21 folks that shows how they would like to see the US as far as high low density population areas and wildlife rehab areas. To sum it up, they want people crammed like cattle into a few small areas and the rest left to "mother nature."
