”Be Respectful”

Pride is dangerous to the Body of Christ
It is arrogance; a condescending attitude
It is an insidious cancer upon the heart
It is a tone of anger, hostile and rude

At its core, there is an element of fear
An insatiable need to always be right
Like a stubborn and recalcitrant child
Refusing correction; ready for a fight

Humility is something quite beautiful
Like a flower, it blossoms and grows
Nurtured by the Spirit and The Word
A sweet fragrance to the One it knows

God’s own must humble themselves
None of them is better than another
All selfish interests must be put aside
They must be respectful of each other

When pride comes, then comes dishonor, But with the humble is wisdom.
Romans 12:16 (NASB)
Be of the same mind toward one another; do not be haughty in mind, but associate with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own estimation.
