I am so glad that the meeting went well!
I can so understand how difficult it was for you to have to talk with this couple.

( I took cymblata for my fibro and developed high blood pressure........the dr. gave me Savella to try, but I have not taken it yet. I don't know if an emotional roller coaster would be a good thing with all the stress going on right now in my household. My husband is disabled and just had a bad reaction to the last known pain med they can compound for him and he is having to go cold turkey off of it along with always being in pain.)

Yes, it is ALL my fault.

I'm glad it went well. I know it wasn't easy.
LOL! while this is off topic, I want you to know that I think you have a fabulous sense of humor! My youngest son has a sense of humor like yours and I tell him constantly that he has been given a gift and how much I appreciate his humor! Last night I read one of your posts and sat in bed with the giggles for a good 5-10 minutes! Even today, I've giggled a few times just recalling your words! I'm grateful for your gift of humor, too!

I got excited there for a moment, thinking I'd be able to hear how the savella worked for you... guess we will have to flip it and I'll let YOU know how it's working. I rather agree with you, about waiting if there is increased stress in your house, but then again it's a catch 22 with Fibro b/c stress makes the pain worse, which also raises blood pressure. At the moment, the Savella isn't doing much for my pain but I gather that's due to the titration packet which starts with the dose being VERY low and taking 2-3 weeks before the dosage would be similar to the regular Cymbalta dosing. My pain levels are most definitely higher but am hoping that won't remain the case after the dosing gets to normal levels.

I HAVE had side-effects, even on this small dose; my eyesight crashed and burned and I can barely read anything farther than 2ft away. I know it's the med b/c the problem comes and goes throughout the day. (read online where other people have complained about their eyesight) Of course I've already mentioned the emotional roller coaster reaction, I've also had: headaches more severe than normal, and insomnia- which increases the emotional side-effects, I'm sure. I've read that this has helped a lot of people with Fibro, the only other "positive" I've read about is Savella hasn't caused weight gain like the other meds. I don't expect to have a clear read on how it works until I've been taking it for a month or two- usually side-effects start subsiding around that time. We shall see,, but I'll let you know how it works for me!

Mish, sometimes you just have to laugh.

I can freak out, or laugh.

    I'm glad things went well.
