I'm curious about something - does anyone here think that there would be some warning of an imminent Israeli military strike on Iran, or are we likely to wake up one morning and hear on the news that it's started?

I wouldn't be surprise if they don't announce their plans so certain people will keep their mouths shut. You don't want to tip your plans to your enemies. That wouldn't be a sneak attack.

hmmm,I dont know about this one. Israel knows that by attacking Iran they will be opening up a BIG can of worms so to speak. Do they really want to do that? It is like with their nuclear weapons. They dont say they have them but they dont say they do. They purposesly keep it a mystery to keep there enemies in check. This could be one of those things. I just dont know if Israel is saying alot of things to keep there enemies at bay a little bit.

All I know is that i just read yet another article stating that' Iran is less that a year away from gaining a Nuclear
weapon.
The first time I read such an article was about 4 years ago.
It to stated that iran would have nukes in less than a year.

I remember i replied to that post and asked why is everyone missing the fact that they dont even need to
build their own Nuke,If their Russian buddies give them one.

The Russians could give them a Nuke ,A launcher , and some energizer batteries for the remote control.
I mean give me a break...

Reasonable thoughts... We seem to be so focused on Israel striking Iran (and it sure seems that need to), but has anyone considered that this is what Iran (despite what they say) wants? I seem to think the Pres of Iran is dead-set on bringing about the return of the Islamic Mahdi. Regardless of who begins the fight I think it plays into Iran's wishes...maybe???

After the explosion in Iran last week, they really might be very close to being nuclear. Israel has no choice but to take Iran's nukes out, otherwise they're going to be sitting ducks. We'll know when Iran has nukes because they're going to use them against Israel. And, IMO, Israel can't depend on anyone - but God, even though they aren't aware of it now - to help them. In fact, I think there are more than a few countries who don't have to guts themselves to take Iran's nukes out, will breathe a sigh of relief if Israel does it, but then bad-mouth Israel along with the U.N. when it's done.

I may be wrong but I wouldn't be surprised if they already have nukes and are waiting for Israel to launch the first attack for some reason.

a warning doesn't accomplish anything for Israel except to alert Iran's militarty to be ready, the time for warnings is long past. I think were going to wake up and read about it.

This is how I see it...if Israel attacks, it's war...if Israel doesn't attack it's war.......so what to do???

With all the U.S. Assests around the places they will attack and fly over the Israelis would, most certainly, give some kind of warning to the American Military......now how much, and when will depend upon the Israeli Commanders and their assessment of how much they need to give. You don't want American interceptor aircraft flying off aircraft carriers and bases to investigate planes in the sky and increasing the activity to a point that the Iranians know there is trouble in the area. HOWEVER, I believe they will keep the notifications to a minimum because, frankly, they probably don't feel they can totally trust Obama and the boys and, well, they are probably right.

I have a question as I am trying to keep up with all these events. If Israel does strike Iran, and Iran retaliates with nuclear force (not that Israel would be destroyed) but would they also come after the US and should we be worried??? The Middle East holds to the "Little Satan" and the "Great Satan" nonsense... but since we're supposed "allies" with Israel, if something happens, would we be required/obligated to assist Israel and would Iran come after us???

Not to detract from the OP, but remember...we meet Jesus in the air, not in heaven. I'm imagining Him leading us through the galaxies to the home He has prepared for us. What a day that will be !!! And remember too that Satan is the prince of the air, so that means Jesus will be leading us right through Satan's territory. Sounds like ole Lucifer will suffer some big-time humiliation when that happens.

Israel has no real choice but to launch a preemptive attack, come what may... because if they don't they're doomed for sure. If they do, they could be doomed (though we know they'll survive), but if they don't, they would be doomed for sure (but for God's divine intervention).

So at a non-supernatural planning level, they really have no choice, no matter the fall-out. It'll need to be soon. I'm sure they're relying on intelligence for the timing. They'll want to wait as long as possible in the off chance that the US or someone else steps in to do the job for them.
