Band talks about 'eating Christians'...

I was in class today and overheard some people I know talking about a show they went to, in which the band(I forget the name) encouraged hatred of Christians and spoke of 'eating Christians.' This got my blood boiling, but I remained silent. A 'friend' who I went to a Christian middle and high school with, but has sadly been greatly influenced by the sin of this world, relayed this information to someone he was sitting near. Knowing that I'm a Christian, he made sure to speak loud enough for me to hear about it and then made the comment, "If society permitted it, I would be glad to do that."

Even though it's sickening, isn't it ironic that these people who hold hatred against Christians are doing us the favor of fulfilling prophecy? And in the end, they'll be kneeling before the Lord that they hated so much.

These verses come to mind in relation to this:
*Psalms 25:19 Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.
*Proverbs 29:10 The bloodthirsty hate the upright: but the just seek his soul.
*Matthew 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
*John 15:18-19 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

Yes, hatred is to be expected from unbelievers. Remember, they're walking in darkness. I know it's hard, but try not to let them get to you. Jesus has already overcome the world and one day, all knees will bow to Him.

It's all done for shock value!!!..But notably some Death Metal or Black metal Bands scene declare open hatred of Christianity...the crazy thing, these bands sing in a weird voice, sometimes it's an octave lower than nomral, making thier lyrics sounds very very dark adn almost scary..So it's hard to decipher what the said artist is saying..but it's just crazy the stuff that they say...

Most Black Metal bands..embrace, Anti-Christianity, Anti-Jew, paganism and sometimes satanism...When add those all up an drink, yu bound to go crazy...

I know what you mean! My dh listens to JUNK that I think is on the line of being what you are speaking of . That is why I stick to softer stuff where I can actually hear the words being spoken :tunez.

My Dh has been known to listen to this at times too...Gross. He says he just likes the beat but I don't get it!!!

I disliked that argument on American Bandstand. Tell him all music has a "beat" and to find one with good lyrics too.

Better yet, he can listen to the beat of your heart......much more consistent and pleasing.

I think these lyrics sum up Satan's plan pretty well. Wouldn't surprise me to find out these band members are demon possessed. Scary stuff, but we need to remember that we are already victorious because of what Christ did for us.
