That's a gothic punk band....I used to listen to this stuff....I was one of those who went to a christian school...then went to a public school and then went with the wrong crowd.....I pray for that person....I hope that they see the truth....God is love and is the only place you will be able to find real happiness....

Seriously, music with Christian themes comes in every genere, including metal and punk. I've seen them for sale on christianbooks.com. To my way of thinking if someone listens to that type of music for the beat s/he has no excuse for listening to satanic lyrics.

I think these lyrics sum up Satan's plan pretty well. Wouldn't surprise me to find out these band members are demon possessed. Scary stuff, but we need to remember that we are already victorious because of what Christ did for us.

I received it this afternoon but haven't watched it yet, so I will let you know for sure once I've seen it.

However, the blurb does mention Madonna and Britney Spears (as well as others from this period), so I would gather it has been updated to include the early '90s. More in a couple of days. I've ordered a number of things at once to make the international postage costs worthwhile, so I've got quite a juicy bundle of stuff to get through at present.

I believed in Jesus...started to listen to that stuff and completely gave up Jesus.... you can't be a believer and listen to it.... it will lead you into trouble!! I thank God that I no longer listen to that and the He has gotten me back on track!

This stuff is not mere talk for the purpose of baiting us. A few years ago, there was a teenager in my town who was raised in a wonderful Christian home, was enormously blessed as a musician, and was very involved in Bible quizzing. Somehow she became infected with this lifestyle. The night before she stepped in front of a train, she was listening to a band called Dimmu Borgir. Old school, I know, but very dangerous. I don't understand why she did what she did, but her death was the catalyst that God used to call me into spiritual warfare on behalf of our kids.

We need to live life on our knees on behalf of this generation.

This music is just like any other Satanic practice. How can we expect Jesus to draw near to us one one hand when on the other we watch pornography, or get drunk or do drugs or listen to these garbage lyrics...Why would Jesus want anything to do with that? That is where we need to realize we need to strive towards Holiness, and strangle this sin until it's gone from our lives.

Few of these bands have any musical talent and you wouldn't have missed anything if you never hear a death/gore/grind/black metal "song".

There are many talentless bands out there, but black metal is one of the most technical and difficult styles of music to play well. The bands that have talent are some of the best musicians out there. Some good examples would be Nokturnal Mortum and Dimmu Borgir.
