Cross New End Times Novel -- THE REVELATION

    Hey, all...

I am in the middle of writing a new End Times novel. I began just a month ago for the NaNoWriMo project (National Novel Writing Month) and am continuing to post each chapter as it is written. I've posted the link to the website on other boards, and have gotten several positive reviews.

As of this posting, I just have the prologue and chapters 1-5 written, but I'm able to put out about a chapter a week. If interested, feel free to check back, subscribe to my feed, become a follower, etc.

The novel is a survival novel with a Christian theme -- it's based on the Book of Revelation. The catch is, it's got a female protagonist who is a complete agnostic to start (and so is her husband). They're both city folk in an upper middle-class suburb. There is a lot of humor, a few love stories, some good doom and gloom (which mostly makes itself known toward the middle of the book) and lots of prepping for End Times. And of course, since it's Christian-based, there are Christian themes, theology and Scripture involved. But it's (hopefully) not too preachy. I should suspect than non-Christians who like a good apocalyptic story and thriller should enjoy this book immensely. Women, too, since there's very little doomer fiction from a female point of view (although there's plenty of guy stuff, too). While I know that not every Christian is going to agree with my views and perceptions as I do my best to interpret the Book of Revelation (there's no way I'm going to make EVERYONE happy), I hope people will still enjoy it enough and get something out of it.

The website is designed for aesthetics, so the white font on black screen may be hard to read. But off to the right of the website are links to the Google Doc PDF versions which are much easier to read, especially on an iPad or if you need bigger font.

Here's the link to the website. I appreciate the readership! Please don't hesitate to comment or offer your review. There's also a place on the site to vote for what you think of the book. All this (I'm hoping) will help with future publishing/marketing efforts.

    Enjoy! And thanks for reading...

I would like to read this but the small white font with a black background is very hard to read. It also appears to cast a glare. I am sure you are very talented but maybe you would want to re-think the color pallette because for now I have to pass. If I am having a problem, I am sure others might be also. Good luck!

I started reading this last night around midnight... that was a mistake, cause at 3:00 am I had to literally tear myself away from the computer and get myself into bed. I LOVE this type of novel and this book holds my attention. A lot of humor and page turning suspense ! Finished chapter 8 and can not wait to read the next one. BUT, now that I'm caught up, reading just one chapter a week is gonna be painful... even worse for us, she's only going to publish online half of the book !!

LOL -- thanks, all! Chapter 9 is up. And, if you "follow" the site by either Google Follower or an RSS feed updater, I'll make a short announcement when I'm at the point where I'm going to "cut the book off." I will ensure that those who are reading it will be able to read the rest for free.

As for the one chapter a week thing, man... I wish I could write faster or quit my job to spend all day writing, but alas I have to pay the bills. I crank out a chapter about once every 7-10 days, if that helps keep you on a schedule. But subscribing to a feed will help alert you as well.

    I appreciate your readership!!

Thanks Marie for letting us know that chapter 9 is available, and so soon after I was crying about the wait time...hehehe

I did sign up for the email alerts, but I just checked my hotmail and there were no alerts saying the next chapter was done yet (I'm hoping I signed up properly) since I will not be able to stand it if I can't finish the book

BTW.... I really do hope you can make this into a series (it's that good!!)

    Maria,

Just finished chapter 9. You have a terrific talent. Being raised in Bay City, I really appreciate the geographic detail. It's easy to see exactly where they are.

I'm looking forward to the rest.
