Apparently the Vatican is dismissing this claim I read in a headline somewhere but here is an article about the alleged prediction. Cited only in part, refer to link for full article....

The Pope will die within a year: Vatican 'assassination fears' revealed

The Pope will die within the next 12 months, a senior Vatican figure has reportedly claimed amid fears of an assassination plot.

The sensational prediction was allegedly made by Cardinal Paolo Romeo, the archbishop of Palermo in Sicily, on a recent visit to China.

Cardinal Romeo reportedly made the startling prediction of the Pope's death during a trip to China in November 2011.

He seemed so sure of the fact that the people he spoke with, including Italian businessmen and Chinese representatives of the Catholic Church, were convinced that he was talking about an assassination attempt.

They were so alarmed by his remarks that they reported them back to the Vatican.

The extraordinary comments were written up in a top-secret report, dated Dec 30, 2011, and delivered to the Pope by a senior cardinal, Dario Castrillon Hoyos, a Colombian, in January.

The Vatican has reportedly opened an investigation into the claims.

The report was written in German, apparently to limit the number of people within the Vatican who would understand it if it was inadvertently leaked.

It warns of a "Mordkomplott" – death plot – against Benedict.

The story was broken on Friday by an Italian daily, Il Fatto Quotidiano, with the headline "Plot against the Pope – he will die within 12 months".

The newspaper, which has a reputation for scoops, published a page from the confidential report.

"During his talks in China, Cardinal Romeo predicted the death of Benedict XVI within 12 months. His remarks were expressed with such certainty and resolution that the people he was speaking to thought, with a sense of alarm, that an attack on the Pope's life was being planned," the paper reported.

The article about the Pope dismissing the claims....

    Pope dismisses 'crazy' murder plot

POPE Benedict XVI could be the target of an assassination plot, according to a document published yesterday.

The Vatican dismissed the daily Il Fatto Quotidiano's report as "delirious".

However experts said it could be a sign of a power struggle within the Vatican.

The newspaper published a confidential document dated December 30, 2011 which was apparently sent by retired Colombian cardinal Dario Castrillon Hoyos to the Vatican warning of unspecified plans to kill the pope.

Mr Castrillon Hoyos reportedly met the pope in January to discuss the threat.

The document from the Colombian cardinal says that the plot was mentioned by the archbishop of Palermo Paolo Romeo during a visit to China in November.

Mr Romeo reportedly said that he had heard of a plot to assassinate the pope "within the next 12 months" but did not give further details.

Asked about the reported comments yesterday, however, Mr Romeo said that the words attributed to him were "absolutely without basis".

"It is so outside of reality that it should not be given any consideration," Mr Romeo was quoted by Italian news agency ANSA as saying.

Vatican spokesman Federico Lombardi said: "It's clear that this document contains crazy considerations that are devoid of any reality."

Mr Lombardi said he did not deny the existence of the document but added that its contents "should not be taken seriously at all".

The thing with the Vatican is that they can't be trusted to tell the truth about anything. That makes pretty much anything possible To tell the truth, Ratzinger's not looking too good anyway. His death would fit in great with the end times, making way for pope Peter Maximus.

Former Jesuit priest Alberto Rivera claimed that the rcc is responsible for the Islamic faith. One of Muhamads wives was a roman catholic named Khadijah who's cousin, Waraquah, became an advisor to Muhamad. Khadijah was supposedly ordered by the roman catholic powers that be to marry Muhamad for the purpose of creating this new, idolatrous religion.

I can't say whether the above is true or false, but if it is true, it really does make Chrislam possible. Rick Warren and Robert Schuller are two names I've heard attached to Chrislam. Think about it. Islam is a violent religion fueled by hate and murder. Roman catholocism is well known for the inquisition, also an extreme form of violence. Imagine these two religions fusing together to become the one world religion.

Everything else is lining up for the rapture to happen soon, and the tribulation to start shortly thereafter. It wouldn't be surprising if a new pope is on the near horizon, and that the upcoming pope would be a Jesuit, and a leader of a new, one world religion, one which you better join, or else!!

My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.
For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; the flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land; the fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.

    Baruch haba b'Shem Adonai!

According to saint Malachy's prophecy concerning the popes, the next and last pope, after pope Ratzinger, will be "Peter the Roman". Amazingly, saint Malachy predicts that under this pope, Rome will be destroyed.

None of us really have any idea whether Malachy was saved or not. In the 12th century there were not many alteratives to the rcc. But that is besides the point. The bible tells us it is complete. No outside prophecy can be trusted. Only during the tribulation will 'new' prophecies be givin by God. That being said, if there is something to it; it would be meant as a personal revelation of some sort, not extra- bibical prophecy.

    That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

I cannot understand how people get swept up by so-called "prophets" who serve one of the most visible antichrists, the popes, who have brought death and error for 1,700 years.

The Final Battles of Pope Benedict XVI

Benedict himself knows that he doesn't have much time left. "The last segment of my life is now beginning," he told birthday guests in April.

I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will put them on trial for what they did to my inheritance, my people Israel, because they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land.

84 is quite beyond the life expectancy for men, isn't it?

    But who fathered this prophecy?

The Roman Catholic Church is not biblical and our Lord Jesus Christ is not their head.

Can satan look into the future? I venture to doubt.
Satan can only know the future that the Bible talks about... and tries to come up with his own version ! Copy cat! and a very bad one at that!
Thank you, God, for my salvation!

Just like the story about the mahdi, his end time fake redeemer. God's word plagiarised and twisted.
