I support Ron Paul and I am proud of it

I support Ron Paul and the policies he stands for. I have every right to voice that opinion here. The amount of slander and outright dishonesty I have seen around here against a fellow American and brother in Christ is just astounding and should not be tolerated. It is really sad to see such slander coming out of those who would claim to be Christians. Ron Paul is not "anti-Isreal" or an "anti-Semite" just because he does not believe in sending US tax dollars to Israel. I don't believe in sending US tax dollars to any other nation including Israel. We are to support their right to be on the land they are on. There is nothing that says we must give another nation financial support, or that doing so should be coerced by the federal government.

An anti-Semite is someone who has a dislike for all Jewish people, just because they are Jewish. It has nothing to do with foreign policy concerning the state of Israel. Find me one statement Paul has made indicating he thinks Jewish people as a group are inferior or that he has a dislike for them on the mere basis that they are Jewish, and I will retract my thread and not vote for him.

It doesn't take a genius to understand when you put 2+2 together that Ron Paul is an anti-Semite. I put the thread up because it saddens me to see dishonesty condoned on a Christian forum. There are other posts elsewhere which state things like "Ron Paul loves muslims who fly airplanes into buildings" - are we to slander even those we disagree with?

In Jude it says that when Micheal was disputing with Satan, he did not dare bring a slanderous accusation against him.

Your answer has nothing to do with aid to Israel, nor does aid to Israel have anything to do with redistribution of wealth. This isn't a matter of socialism.

I think you missed my point :P

God tells us to give to the poor, but as any conservative Christian will tell you, He never said that such giving should be coerced by the government.

Likewise, He told us to bless Israel. And I am saying that likewise, there is nothing that says financial blessings should be coerced by federal government, using taxpayer money. Besides, as things are now, the US gives aid to both Israel AND the PA, which makes no sense at all. It would be better to give aid to neither.

That is a straw man argument not worthy of a response. It's sad how you ignore the spiritual aspect of this issue. Be proud of supporting Paul if that's your desire but,personally, I'd be embarrassed to admit it.
