Quasi Newbie
I'm a 47 yr old mom of four, living in Kansas. I grew up in Omaha, and at the age of 10, was brought to church with a friend after she shared Jesus with me on recess. From that point on, I knew I was His. Rebellious in high school, then challenged in college to truly walk with Jesus. A friend signed me up to receive a Messianic magazine, and no matter where I moved, the magazine kept coming, even though I didn't pay for it. ?? I support them now!! In the 25ish years of living in His grip, I've loved prophecy, and was shocked to find that I'm kind of in a minority among my church peers. I have heard, "it's just not practical", and "I wouldn't preach on prophecy with a ten foot pole!"
My husband and family attend a 7,000 member church. It went through a major wake-up-call when the pastor of 20 years was found to be having an affair. Many, many left the church. Under new, much more accountable leadership, the teaching is deeper, but to get real meat, I attend additional Bible Study, and now visit Rapture Ready several times a day. I am grateful the Lord led me here. Love it!!
