    Default grateful1's intro and testimony

Beware of anyone promoting esoteric knowledge i.e. insight for the few. This is a common trait of false teaching - Mystery Babylon. It appeals to our egos to be part of an elite group with insider knowledge. Flee from such...review John 18:20. Hope this helps.

grateful1 That is what we often see when people keep insisting that they have a word from God, and they don't seem to care if it lines up with scripture or not.

Welcome to the board grateful1, please introduce yourself too, so members can get to know you!

We have people come here to RR all the time insisting that they have a word from God, some "esoteric knowledge i.e. insight for the few" and they don't last very long here because people like that tend to dismiss or ignore scripture. This board is full of Bible believers and we don't go in for that type of false teaching here; words of knowledge, etc...

Please do stick around, and introduce yourself

my apologies...guess I should have addressed my response to Patti and her solicitation. My reply was purposefully terse. I do not wish to imply I have a "word of knowledge" or anything of that nature. I just wanted to point out the difference between the Truth and the false. He has not hidden anything from us...from the beginning He has made clear His intent.

That's my point; we value the Truth here on the 'board and believe Truth is found in scripture not in some esoteric word of knowledge, as I thought you were saying the same thing. Just welcoming you to the board, and inviting you to introduce yourself.

Let's clear this up; You, grateful1, believe in word of knowledge teachings, esoteric knowledge, and insight for the few? I thought you were against those things, but you are responding very oddly to being told we support scripture here, and not words of knowledge. Please do answer the question because I think you are confused.

I was advising Patti to avoid those who espouse esoteric knowledge. The reference to John 18:20 confirms the contrast with what Yeshua is revealing and the deception the father of lies has fostered. My declaration was clear and concise. When you challenged my statement I was unclear to whom you were addressing your comments. I appreciate you wish to protect the site from false teaching. I was reviewing the thread and considered I could offer a simple understanding that would help Patti now and in the future. Hope you understand I harbor no ill will to my Brethren.

I never challenged your statement, rather I affirmed that the board also does not accept esoteric word of knowledge teachings, which I believe is in agreement with what you said. I'm glad we did get that cleared up. I hope you stick around and introduce yourself here in the new members forum.

I am running the race and hope to finish as a faithful servant. My Lord is so good and has rescued me from so much...just like everyone else that finds themselves here. I have been blessed with a beautiful wife who has indulged me with four sons and four daughters. I went to a Bible study in the late sixties to obtain some drugs (not from the Bible study...rather my friend who was in attendance - to my surprise) a PK prayed for me and here I run....

My parents divorced when I was 9. They claimed they didn't love each other any more. My thought was when that would happen to me. If people only knew the damage of divorce on their children.... Within a year of the divorce my dad remarried yet shortly thereafter committed suicide. My brother was hearing voices and came home to stay 'til I reached 18. Fortunately, I had just become exposed to the teachings of Jesus and was intrigued to learn more of Him. My parents had dabbled in all sorts of esoteric religions but did not like Christians. Felt the Christians were too arrogant in believing only they (the Christians) were going to heaven. My brother was also introduced to this Love but told me the demons entertained him. I told him they did not entertain me and we parted ways. Approximately, 5 yrs. later he fell/jumped off a bridge. A friend spotted him a short time before and remarked that it was pride that had seized him. I was unclear of exactly what he meant...but I now understand. His love for us is amazing and He is constant in wooing us to fall in love with Him. There is so much for us to learn. But John, at the end of his life was constantly instructing our brethren to love one another. They will know you are my disciples by your love for one another.
