I often wonder how stores keep all that fresh produce looking so fresh. I bought some cilantro late last night and am now battling to keep it fresh until this evening.
Try putting just the stem ends in cool water while in the fridge.

Last night we had 'build-your-own tostadas', with all the fixens on the table. My grandma used to say, "It's grab and growl cafe'"

Thanks, I'll do that! I like "grab and growl cafe".

We are going out to eat tonight at a Mexican restaurant. I will get my usual which is enchiladas, rice and beans.

    TT... another option might be:
Wash thoroughly, leave a little moisture on leaves and stems.
Wrap in couple of layers of paper towels and place in tight fitting plastic container or bag. This is also a great way to store veggies for sometime in refrigerator. They last longer this way than the usual, just throw in the fridge until needed.

    Lightbulb Easy Curried Chicken

2 cups diced cooked chicken; 2 cups coconut milk/cream; 4 tbsp butter; 3tbsp whole grain flour (soaked); 1tbsp curry powder; 1tsp chopped onion (I use a whole onion) 1/2 cup lemon juice (optional); sea salt and pepper to taste.... Melt butter, then add flour and curry powder; cook for 5 min.,. Pour in coconut milk and stir well til boiling. Add lemon juice when ready to use. Goes great with brown rice and vegetables. Serves 6. I got this recipe from The Makers Diet by Jordan Rubin. My husband and I love this. It is IMO healthy, quick and delicious!

Pork ribs. This is the first time I have cooked ribs. I applied a dry rub that we received from a friend. I put a little bit of water in the bottom of the baking pan in order to keep them from drying out. I covered them with foil and plan on cooking them for 3 - 4 hours at 250 degrees.

Dungeness crab for those that want it, an alternative of some sort for those who don't. Don't want to force my kids to eat crab... Bought a 10 pound case of this stuff as part of a fundraiser. It's my favorite crab but I've never had it at home until today, and very rarely have it in a restaurant.
