must be that Noreasterner vibe .

i'm trying the family on a sweet mustard chicken over white rice. Ray's sweet &spicy mustard mixed with brown sugar and chicken gravy.

got another apple pie in the oven.

i need some easy and new to me recipes. all i have been making lately is spaghetti, soups, hamburger stroganoff, cottage pie, lasagna and chicken stuffing casserole. i am in a rut and am beginning to resent cooking dinner.

How about stuffed peppers? I love them. I make a bunch of them and then freeze them and have them individually.

I don't know what to call it, but tonight we had a meal that included strips of chicken breast, walnuts, and bell pepper pan cooked in a mix of oil and soy sauce and corn starch, ginger, and maybe a couple of other things, and then served over rice.

the custard pie turned out nicely. i got the recipe from Allrecipes.com. after reading the reviews i made some adjustments and the result was very nice.

i'm going to experiment tonight. i'm going to make Bisquick cheddar biscuits and make a chorizo gravy to pour over them. Chorizo reminds me of taco/chili flavors so i think it will go well with cheddar. We'll see...
