Last night a made a (delicious) roast with carrots and potatoes in the crock pot--so tonight, I'm going to shred it and we're having BBQ beef on sourdough bread.

Do you spell it "potatoes" and "potato"? I always hate writing that because I can never remember !

Carmelized garlic & onion, multiple uses each, .08/serving
Leftover chicken cubed - $3.49/pack, second use, $1.75 per use, .88/person
Cooked onion & garlic in 2 tbsp oil, added chicken w/ salt & pepper, when done...
Leftover tomato cubed (free from a friend)
Mozzarella cheese melted on top (1.45/pack, 15 servings for us, .09/serving, .04/person)

Our hot dog buns were turning stale so we cut them into 4 equal pieces each and toasted them in the oven and about 15 seconds under the broiler. You wouldn't know they weren't store bought dinner rolls. ($1.10 on sale, 4 servings, .27/serving, .13/person)

My husband even opened up the "rolls" and spooned the chickeny goodness on top for an open-faced bit.

    Dinner for 2 = 2.19 or 1.09/each.

I'm slow baking one of those extra turkey's I purchased last November when they were practically giving them away. I almost always get 3 or 4 and cook them up during the following year.
