    Yay! Hello from Southern California!

Apparently I signed up on this forum back in '09... but this is my first post! There must be some other Southern Californians on here...

Anyway, I am a family man, I keep an eye on what's going on in politics (go Santorum!) & world events, I have a dog named Ichiro (he's a Japanese Chin), I love baseball (play on Sundays, as well as MLB The Show for PS3... go Mariners!), I listen to a lot of Christian rock, and I love California (originally from Seattle area... have lived in S.F. Bay Area and now in SoCal).

Welcome EazyMack. I'm a native of SoCal. I left the state a few decades ago and now only return for weddings and funerals. I still have a couple of immediate family members there. One in Camarillo and the other in the Central Valley. I didn't recognize the name of your town, but see it's near Hemet.

    Thanks for the welcomes...

From SoCal to Alaska, that is a bit of a transition! I could see the other way around being easier.

    I like your user title.

I apologize for the tardiness! My testimony starts w/my parents. They both had their rough upbringings, but dedicated their lives to Christ after I was conceived, and they raised me in love & biblical values. I have no doubts about the tremendous value of having an intact home. I always saw my parents as one item, iron-clad... never once saw them even get upset w/each other. They were always encouraging & supportive of me. For any parents out there reading this... it makes a huge difference! I have a heart for those who hurt as a result of a broken home, abusive upbringing, etc. If only this world were the way it's supposed to be...

Anyway, my testimony then picks up around the age of 18, when I made the discovery that all the things I went through in life as a teenager (mother's illness, money problems, depression, lack of friends, etc.) ALL happened for a reason, because ultimately it lead to me coming to California when I was 18, and I found a life that was better than the life I imagined for myself prior to that. Ever since I was 18 years old, I've had an unshakable faith in God, that He is always present, and always working... even when things don't seem right to us.

And then around 24-25 years old, the light bulb went off over my head... I am living and breathing for a purpose. It was at that age that it all clicked for me, why I'm here, why any of us are here. It is only for one thing: to draw others closer to coming to know Jesus, through the way we love them. When I realized this, it was a tremendous feeling of humility & gratitude. I now knew that every day, every moment, every person I come across, it's all for a reason! It is much easier to get up and face the world everyday when you know you are there to serve a purpose higher than all other purposes. It gives reason to everything, even the things that are not fun to go through.

That's about it in a nutshell. Thanks for asking.

    Default Hello!

    welcome!!
Hope you find it fun here
I love it, and I've only been here a little while....
I just love where God's people can get together and study, and pray with each other.
If your by any chance looking for a good prophecy website...like end time events through Christian eyes, and God's eyes...then check out prophecytoday.com!!
Dr.Jimmy De young has an AWESOME perspective on the news that goes on around the world!! He brings it to us Live!!
As well as that website, I'd like to start posting up that there's this website you can go to to talk with strangers.
YES, it is a bit weired because people on there are perverted...but what better way to share God's love!
It's Omegle.com and people ask for different things but if you go on there, and start with the question "hey If you died in two seconds where do you think you'd go and why"... You'll get many people interested in the topic!!
I've witnessed to about 4 people on there and they've gotten Saved!! And what's crazy is, I've done it through the privacy of my own home! But yet it's been people from around the world that have gotten saved!

Hope you give it a shot, and welcome once again!! Also keep looking up
