That's my problem too--who knows how long the Lord will take before he bails us out of here. I'm a saver....big time! Started my 401k when I was 26. Every year I add 1% to my contribution. There was a time I was dropping in 25% and the dividends have paid out big time. Sure, based on "market averages" I'm on the path to have well over a million by the time I retire in 20 years or so, but that can all go away with the stroke of a pen here, along with some major wars overseas. My eyes are still on things above--but I wisely put money away into my 401k because I want to take care of my wife and family (just in case). It's good to be prepared & there is nothing wrong about having a good nest egg.
