I tried to log onto my facebook account and now it says it's "temporarily" locked due to security reasons. Facebook has not contacted me why my account has been locked but the only thing i posted recently was that i was going on a month "Fast" of facebook for lent. so i needed to look up a friend's ph number on there and even though i was kind of cheating i went on and i couldn't get on and got that message. so i try to verify my account and it asks for my cell ph so i put it in and it sends me a text code. so you would think that would be sufficient right? WRONG!

i put that code in and then it asks me to upload a GOVERNMENT ISSUED ID!!!!! There is no way I'm ever doing that! so mad because now i can't log on and i have tons of pictures on there and all my family and friends and i'm wondering if i'll ever get to be back on my account again. wondering if anyone has had this happen to them and wondering how this is tying in to the end times because it seems to me that this "social networking site" is nothing other than "big brother" who is trying to control and get as much info about everyone as possible. creepy!

As far as I know, they should be able to send information to your e-mail account.

i haven't heard back from them yet at all. but i have to say since lent and doing this, i've been under tremendous spiritual oppression since i proclaimed this boldly (that i wasn't going to be on fb for lent) so i think the enemy is working on me. i'm sick and achy all over my body and the fact that my account "suddenly" closed down.... yeah it's him.....

Because you need to complete your Lenten sentence, then you can log back onto Facebook.

I read that the CIA is linked with FB to gather our information. You can Google the 2 words and get more info. on it.

Facebook rolls out 'verified accounts,' celeb nicknames

Taking a cue from Twitter, Facebook will be rolling out "verified accounts" for its most popular users -- presumably hoping to encourage the Lady Gagas of the world to get active on the site.

Starting Thursday, the site began testing a system that lets people with a large number of subscribers submit a government ID to prove they really are who they say they are.

"This update makes it even easier for subscribers to find and keep up with journalists, celebrities and other public figures they want to connect to," a Facebook spokesman said in an e-mail.

Once verified, a user will be able to "more prominently display an alternate name (nickname, maiden name, byline, etc.) on their timelines in addition to their real name."

Unlike Twitter, Facebook has required users to register under their real names.

it's actually under my SAG actor's name but i'm not a celebrity! lol and i only have 220 friends so i don't know why that would be the case. but i don't see why i have to my real name and i don't want to because i don't want my employer snooping on me or other people that i don't want to find me.

it's def big brother and this does tie into the end times and not so much anything goes but i guess because this is about facebook they didn't want it under the end times. who knows?!

totally agree! and the new generation (millenials) don't care about giving out their info---they're like sure here you go! i'm generation x so i'm somewhat used to all of this but at the same time i'm not readily giving out everything about me. and dont' get why people do that-

i tried to make a new facebook today because there are a few friends i only keep in touch w/on there and it asked for my cell # and i gave it and then on my old email (from my disabled account) it said that my cell # was no longer affiliated with that account because someone made up a new account with that one. and it said do you attest "under perjury" that you are the person you say you are when i was signing up for the new account. I mean am i signing up for a social networking site or am i on TRIAL!? crazy stuff! so i deleted that new account because i'm worried that now i'll have no hopes of getting my old one back which i still refuse to upload to them my IDs (driver license, passport, etc).

People be very careful what you're posting on facebook and if you have photos please save them on your hard drive which i did before i uploaded them (thankfully). i've had an account on FB since 2007! before it was even popular so i think all of this is so ridic!

Perhaps Big Brother (Sister) may have already linked you to your SAG name, even though you aren't a celebrity in the eyes of the world. I think all this verification is just one more way to link a person to any possible alias they may have to make tracking us easier. Facebook may be the most popular social networking source, but it's not the only site that harvests personal information (data mining) or has loose privacy policies to help the government(s) "keep us safe".

Last year I discovered a huge data center was being built in Utah before I saw the photo below of a "closed door" dinner meeting to discuss innovation initiatives, creating jobs and increasing exports to boost the US economy. Somehow I could not ignore the red flags and warning bells knowing the background of the guests and how "Zucky" had the honor of sitting at Obama's right hand.




Sarkozy also invited internet business leaders, including those from Facebook, Google, Amazon & News Corp. to the G-8 Summit a few months later to "discuss regulation of the Web"
