    Default Speaker from IHOP

    http://www.gatewaychurchmn.com/podcast/page/2/

Here is a podcast from the church we sometimes attend, Brandon Hammonds from IHOP came to speak and he taught out of the book of Joel. It sounded like the Dominionist/kingdom theology teaching. He said Jesus is not going to come back in a vacuum, Jesus is not going to return to this earth outside of human involvement according to the prophet Joel. Jesus comes back when the earth is completely filled with the prayers of the saints. Joel says when you have the corporate prayer meeting Jesus comes back. He splits the sky because of the cry of his bride. He went on to say.... We are forerunner messengers unto the second coming of Jesus.

He said that Gods favorite thing is to fascinate humanity. He also prayed for the spirit of prayer to be released over the congregation.

My question is... What is the context of the book of Joel? Is there a spirit of prayer that needs to be released?
When the speaker said...Jesus is not going to come back in a vacuum, was he saying there is no rapture?

I'm glad I was digging today my hubby wants me to speak with the pastor to see how they really feel about IHOP, but I think this is crystal clear.

this isnt anything new. IHOPers as they are called are known for saying things like that

the fact ur church would allow the anything goes IHOP cult to speak,

might be a sign u might need to find a new church and FAST.

a lot of churches and ministries here in Omaha are big into among other things IHOP stuff, so I know a lot about that cause I keep tabs on bad churches and ministries in my town.

Sadly, many in the christian community here are asleep when it comes to what is being peddled in many churches, which is too bad cause IHOP promotes a lot of unbiblical and or weird stuff to say the least

IHOP and Mike Bickle and his friends are well known for False predictions and lot of mysticism and new-agey teachings.

(any church that allows people from IHOP is a red flag it is a bad church)

has some info on the IHOP movement and that video is what IHOPers call "worship" music. looks and sounds more creepy than gospel-ish.

Thanks Billie, we are in the process of leaving that church, I guess it's no longer a process, we were going to randomly go till we found a new church, but not any more. I just cannot go back now. It's such a sad thing, to leave what you have known, friendships, etc... but God means much more to me. I have done a lot of research on IHOP, so I know how scary this is. very sad.

That repetitiveness would make me sleepy.
Mark 13:31 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
Coming again coming again maybe morning maybe noon maybe evening and maybe soon!
Coming again coming again O what a wonderful day it will be! Jesus is coming again!

I got very hurt by a church who was into IHOP. I thought I could just tolerate it but there was evil there that didn't tolerate me. I would absolutely leave.
