I watched all of this, and am left with a few thoughts: the primary message about the subtlety of the Satanic agenda and how difficult it might be for many to detect, as well as the sound Biblical doctrine, was very well-done. However, I would encourage anyone watching these to take the information he provides about the mythological figures (at least; I don't know much about some of the organizations he presents) and research them on their own. He presents some information about this that isn't quite correct, which then can lead to misunderstanding portions of the Satanic themes throughout time. I can list specifics, if anyone is interested, but wanted to at least offer a gentle word of caution.

I am on number 13 and I like them so far.
You are so right that even a subtle change can lead to misunderstanding. I often say you can be only degree off on a compass, and arrive at the wrong destination. Satans greatest tool is to introduce a tiny amount of leavening, and a tiny bit of doubt into those he wishes to decieve (hath God really said...) And the end result can be dramatic, even catastrophic since it actually caused the downfall of man in the first place. Most all of what I know comes from knowledge I recieved from God's Word while studing to help people to come out of false religious systems.

I have been involved with many people over these last many years whom I thought were true Christians, only to learn later that their beliefs and mine were actually worlds apart. I have witnessed to them to the best of my ability because my fellow humans matter to me. Christ gave His Precious Life for them.

I am not well educated on ancient mythology, so I would very much like to hear what you have to say. I would be very interested in the specifics.

I have studied some on the Masons, but not enough to be any kind of "expert" in this field. God has lead me in other areas. What is so exciting for me is having brothers and sisters here who all have their own areas of speciality in which God has led them to study.
This thread could be a goldmine of information and study if we all pitch in our knowledge and help each other sort all of this out.

I am going to begin taking notes of anything which gives me pause. If I don't understand it I will research it, as usual, but I will also be grateful if all of you would give me your opinions as well.

I am ready to see what you have to say. At the end of our study, we can pour over our notes and come to a sound decision, either a thumbs up, or a thumbs down.

The series is extremely well done, and I am impressed, but my "radar" is always running these days. I have learned the hard way.

I am off to bed for now. I will check in first thing tomorrow and see if you have added anything yet.

    THANK YOU!

I'd be interested to see where you and other members have caught mis-information. I'm on #18, there've been a few "blips" on the radar, but again, I'm not knowledgeable enough about the ancient times to know. I think that overall, the message is right on target though.

It's insane how intricately and thickly all this deception and sin is woven into the world. Yeast spread through dough is an apt analogy.

I ask, because I have training in Egyptology (while getting my bachelor's degree in anthropology/archaeology), and his information regarding the Sphinx is incorrect from an ancient Egyptian and Egyptological standpoint. While the sphinx in ancient Greece did have the head/upper body of a woman and the body of a lion (often with wings), the Great Sphinx of Egypt has the head of a man. Further, the word "sphinx" in Greek does not literally mean "joining," but instead has a range of meanings that don't quite match the concept of joining: "to squeeze; tighten up; to bind; restrain" (source: http://www.perseus.tufts.edu/hopper/...ry%3Dsfi%2Fggw).

Not a big deal, but just something that made me take a step back and wonder how accurate the rest of his information might be. I do get the underlying message, however--that Satan and his fallen angels have an agenda to seduce mankind away from a dependency and relationship with God, and instead depend solely on ourselves to attain "enlightenment" or heaven via knowledge without any need for God.
Not all his information is correct; his teachings on the Mystery Religions can be found elsewhere, even from Hislop; I'd give the series a B; just more good info to gather but would not swallow all the bath water; listen with caution, (as we should do with everything)

I'm surprised most people here don't already know this stuff. It's talked about daily on this forum.

Please don't misunderstand me, I have certainly known much of this, but not in the "depth" presented in this series. I've read the whole Bible, and I've been hanging around here for right at a year. I just have not focused on mystery Babylon very much. I'm very aware, daily, of many subtleties of the pervasive spread through society of the enemy's lies. I have mainly concentrated on the better things in the Word, like getting to know the Lord, how I should be as a husband and father. And still learning. But this is interesting, in terms of a review of "military intelligence", so far, anyway.

    Who is Hislop? Alexander Hislop?

    Are you me?

I think I could have typed out EXACTLY what you just said about myself.

I have been watching and reading up about all of the attempts being made now to merge Christianity and Islam, the "muslim bible", the garbage that God and Allah are the same, etc. I was wide-eyed and found that I had completely missed how extensive Satan's influence has been throughout history. For some reason I had been allowing myself to believe that this is a new phenomenon.

Lets let the primary message be the primary message. His key points are Biblical, and he humbly presents the info. "Do not think you know everything". I think a majority of people already knew about this stuff it's just that nobody has given a video series that chronologically presents the mystery religions from a Biblical perspective. I've been researching this stuff for 7 years because my Humanities professor taught this stuff in a way that made me almost doubt the essential truth that Jesus Christ is the Son of God crucified, and raised from the dead. This was when I was a young man and young in my faith too, that is why I enjoyed the series, because he put the time in to construct a platform for you to do your own research. It debunks the secular teachings of the ancient mysteries, that is what's important. It will be helpful for college students especially, if they see this video.

Just speaking for myself, this series was a blessing and an answer to my prayers as to how Gods perfect Word has been so distorted.
I already aware of alot of the info, but the series tied things together for me in my puny little mind. What initially got me thinking about the religion mess we are in and how we got there was info on Buzzardhuts site about the history of the church, etc., but as I alluded to earlier my eyes will only allow me to read for short intervals. As far as doing any extra research on the subjects covered, I really don't feel compelled to do so. I see enough of what satan is up to just reading the news headlines. I'd much rather focus my attention on what God is up to.
As we see how satans influence has touched every corner of this earth, I keep in mind the powerful words of our Lord when he said "I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it". Praise the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and may His name be praised forevermore.

I agree that the primary message is quite good, and I love how it follows Satan's message and agenda throughout time and pulls out the reflections of this message in each movement and organization. His Biblical teachings match what I've been taught and believe, so I feel good in this regard.

As soon as I have the time, I'll list out what he's said that I know to be a bit off from the standpoint of my professional training as a cultural anthropologist (my bachelor's was in cultural anthropology, with basic training in archaeology; my minor was in humanities, with a focus on ancient Egypt, specifically in the ancient Egyptian language and culture). My goal is to prevent any misunderstandings in the minds of my brothers and sisters; I love all of you very much, and don't want any misunderstandings that might lead to other problems in general understanding.

I'm going through the film again and taking notes on which information that I know to be slightly off, so I can share and start a discussion about these things.

You do know that the primary purpose for the mystery religions was to conceal the meaning in multiple meanings right? That's Satan's goal through esotericism; decieve. What I am trying to say is that what you learned with your degree is all well and good but there is never a time with this information where you can say "that's what that represents". Only the Bible is truth. The Bible is there to confound the wise. Patterns are seen in the mystery religions, like satan's goal to counterfiet God in every way and to be worshipped as the most high. I just can't let an interpretation of the sphinx be a reason to call the series inaccurate. I would appreciate your input though, you must have learned a lot from that degree. God Bless!

Ok, finished the series. Haven't slept yet. It's awful but once I start something, it's difficult for me to stop.

First, it reaffirmed my appreciation of this forum. RR is a great place to be.

Second, it's a good run through. It's not a complete study as there is plenty left out. But that's what personal study and research is for, if one is so inclined.

Third, I enjoyed it. I learned things I didn't know.

Finally, it had some comic relief (for me anyway) do other people pronounce words like he does?

I've been asked to not share the errors I found because this would be a fruitless exercise. I'm only posting this here to explain why I won't be listing the errors here as promised earlier :-)

Yeah, I thought of that myself after asking.
I already know what I need to know.
The series is just too much info without enough documentation, and yes, there are errors.

I would rather stick to a trusted source myself. There is plenty of good teaching right here at RR.

Well, perhaps I'm better off not watching this series since every now and again I'll get the message "Unable to load this movie" from Youtube on my IPad. The link given in the OP is one I can't upload. Any other link I can go to or should I just skip it?
Now when these things begin to take place, look up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near Luke21:28

Just go to YouTube and search for " know your enemy part 2"
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 1 Cor 1:18
