That's the church! I've been listening to the sermons online and I love them! If I didn't live on the oposite side of the country, I'd be going there too. lol It's good to hear that they are helping you so much.

I love them to pieces, and without revealing any confidence, I can say that a couple of regular posters, and one lurker, attend, too.

I'm looking forward to my tract party - I always thought that would be so fun, sit around stuffing Bibles, praying, and chatting.

Ironic considering I used to hate going to church. I have never felt love at a church the way I have experienced it at Calvary chapel.

Yup, they are awesome - very much a family in Christ.

That reminds me, I need to put some masters for "Where to Look in the New Testament" in my backpack. One of the evangelism guys was interested.

So, so cool.

I gave the guy my masters for "Where to Look" Pastor Mike has the handout Bibles. I got the stamp with the church information.

AND... today I met a guy who is very interested in helping us with Bible Handouts. He says God has put it in his heart. We'll take him on a handout and see what he thinks.

It is SO awesome to have a "team"!

I also hit the bake sale and got delicious treats to put in with the Bibles I'll hand out this week.

I got a monstrous sack of candy today, to make Driver Candy.

Driver Brownies and Driver Cookies seem to be even more popular, but the bake sale only runs through this weekend.

Then, a handout. Maybe July 4th. I did one last year and had a lot of fun.

If the tropical storm comes to town, I'll do a handout the day before it makes landfall.

Like I told Ron, everyone is worried and anxious, stressing out, wanting comfort (I know, I've been there). They want to know things will be OK.

However, I hear of some needy people in Colorado. I might ship some scripture booklets.

I got a case of Bibles on the porch!

I'm going to do them up and probably hand them out Tuesday. I need to get ahold of Tina (local disabled lady) and see if she'd like to help me get them ready.

Craig, a guy at church, is very interested in helping on a handout, so we'll see how that works.

I have about 150 items total. Including about 40 Spanish items.

I actually don't have a lot of energy; but I do have a lot of time.

Got there an hour late. Traffic was horrendous. I handed out about 3 dozen Bibles.

I think, because it's a more affluent area, they were more resistant to God. Jesus himself says people can't serve God and Money.

However, I did hand out 3 dozen. I'm happy. If I get one Bible into the right hands, that's a good day.

Some of the more notable recipients:
1. Carload of teens. One was very interested, I gave him enough Bibles for the whole car. They were really excited.

2. Carload of women. Kept debating which was the "right" version to take (I had two different english versions). I finally just stuck a couple NKJV in the window and they took them.

3. Guy; looked like his world had ended (I seem to get a fair percentage of them as recipients - on a different handout her husband had left her a few hours before). He was definitely interested.

4. I had a lot of people flag me down, wanted to give me money. I told them no, of course. One, I have donors. Two, it's against the law to beg for money on the corner, and they could shut me down.

5. An off-duty policeman took one - that's a big coup because they NEVER want a Bible.

6. Mom, wanted a Spanish for herself, and 3 English for the kids.

7. Grandpa, wanted one for grandson.

8. Had a couple, interested. I was thrilled to give them each a Bible.

9. I had a lot of people who flagged me down, and wanted to tell me they had a Bible. OK. I had some evangelism booklets with testimony. I gave them to the "I already have a Bible" crowd.

It's not about the quantity of the handouts, it's the quality. Yeah, I "only" handed out about 40, but they went to good homes!

We're going to "our" corner on Friday, and will distribute the rest.

I'm going to post now while the modem is working.

Ron was up at the corner, and I'd walk down the median. All the recipients honked at Ron as they drove past. I thought that was cool.
