My first hubby died in war, Viet Nam, when I was pregnant, and they have not met.
Our first child was a miscarriage, and I'm wondering if my hubby is looking forward to me
    meeting our first child.
Oh, that just makes me want to cry! What wonderful, touching thoughts! What a joyful reunion your family will have!

    Nice list, Perhaps Today!

Default What Other Things I Am Looking Forward to in Heaven

Seeing all my saved loved ones and friends: my Dad, grandparents, other relatives, best friend, other friends that have passed on; earthbound loved ones and friends; RR friends; and tons of new friends. And my favorite pets from earth. And even angels!

Joy! Laughter! Love! Excitement! Fulfillment! Satisfaction! Peace! No more sad, painful, bad, anxious, scared, worried or uncomfortable feelings or mental or emotional distress of any kind.

Eternally perfect health, flawless beauty, strength, energy and perfect weight. Perfect eyesight. Perfect hair, teeth and nails. No pain, sickness, germs or cavities. No fear of harm to loved ones or self. No fear of even accidentally hurting someone else.

To be a homeowner again -- but a mansion this time with: (1) lovely, tasteful decor, (2) a view, (3) near some kind of body of water, (4) neighboring houses close enough to see so as not to feel alone, but not so close as to feel crowded, (5) with no worries about things breaking, fire, flood, earthquakes, weather damage, termites, wood rot, mice, thieves, etc., (6) filled with beautiful furniture and appliances, a piano, etc., as well as my favorite possessions from earth, (7) great visiting/entertainment/party areas, (8) a spacious, well-lit art studio and similar hobby room with endless, high-quality machines, tools and supplies there or readily available, and (9) a well-equipped/supplied work shed for woodworking and other big projects. (P.S. My house will be at least partially self-cleaning. Or maybe I will have a robot maid. )

A beautiful garden with perfect soil and perfect irrigation conditions; beautiful, fragrant flowers and ornamental trees/plants; a whole bunch of fruit trees/vines/edibles; no weeds, garden pests or plant diseases. A lawn that grows exactly 2-inches tall and never needs mowing. (Or maybe I will have a robot gardener, too. )

A wide, wonderful variety of animals nearby, either as pets or that hang around sometimes (even big ones that let you ride them). Every animal will be gentle and completely tame. And they will all know not to eat the garden plants!

No bothersome flies, mosquitoes, wasps, roaches, gnats, etc.

Beautiful music and other sounds. Beautiful sights. Beautiful smells. Wonderful foods and beverages. Wonderful textures and feelings. No ugly noises. No ugly sights. No repugnant smells. Nothing that tastes bad. Nothing that feels bad.

Beautiful formal and informal clothes and accessories from various times and cultures throughout history. Fabrics that feel wonderfully soft, smooth or just plain pleasant. And a huge closet!

Greatly increased brain power, talent and physical abilities.

Unlimited educational or visiting opportunities with incredible teachers, masters, experts, famous or just interesting people of: the Bible, history, art, music, literature, drama, dance, evangelism, science, medicine, other cultures, etc.

Plenty of fun activities, places to go, fellowship, parties, picnics, celebrations and a wide variety of clubs and groups to join.

No bills or taxes. No need for passports, visas, licenses, permits or legal miscellanea. No fear of accidents, tickets, lawsuits, fees, fines or penalties.

A beautiful new car(s) (if there are cars in heaven ) that doesn't need gas to run, won't ever break down or get flat tires and that will always have that wonderful new-car smell.

Computers and other technology that is easy to understand, won't break down, freeze up, get viruses, get hacked, be misused or run out of power.

Entertainment that is pure, God-honoring and delightful, fascinating, dramatic, touching or funny, etc., or a combination thereof.

Unlimited exploration of every kind! And, especially since so many people have mentioned the possibility of it over the years, flying and movement at the speed of thought!

1 Cor 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

Ps 16:11 You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

Besides seeing God the Father and Jesus,

    1) Seeing my parents and family and meeting my grandparents who died before I was born.
    2) Drinking in the sights and sounds of Heaven (Gates of Pearl, Streets of Gold, Mansions, Gardens, etc)
    3) Voices raised in worship to our Lord (everyone will have beautiful singing voices to praise our Lord)
    4) The sound of Angel wings
    5) Meeting OT and NT Saints and listening to stories told by King David
    6) Touching all the animals and being able to ride horses
    7) My new body...free of earthly man-made parts! :-)
    8) Eternity.......... (yippee!)

What I look forward to the most is too things, both of which should keep me occupied for at least one hundred years minimum.

    1) Talking to Jesus and asking Him every question I can think of that I've ever wondered about but knew I'd never find out on earth.

    2) Exploring the abilities of my new body, flight, etc.
The first time He will come for us. The next time, He will come with us.

    1) I am going to be a good listener. I've never been able to sit cross-legged very well, but I am sure I will be able to sit that way for hours listening to the answers to our origin and to all things we speculated about in life.
    2) I hope that Christ sees me worthy enough to provide the ability help others in need on Earth.
    3) Of course I always wanted to be a musician on a huge stage.
    4) The love and hope I feel in Christ each day projected in a manner I never thought possible
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me.... I hope to this makes sense.

I want to talk to God about the life I've lived, good and bad, moment by moment. We might talk about the mistakes I've made, and I'll finally be mature enough to listen. Maybe God can show me how (badly) my life would have turned out if I had gotten what I wanted. But maybe by this time the disappointments in this life will no longer matter (I don't doubt this).

I hope to see my enemies. We will all realize how stupid we were. I'm looking foward to laughing with them.

I'm afraid my motive here might be selfish, I hope not, but it would be nice to meet people who I influenced in a good way but didn't know it at the time. Maybe I'll learn that my life wasn't a total waste. I hope to see that many (most) of the people I've prayed for have made it to heaven, too.

I've been thinking about all these things lately. Even though I've already been forgiven, I want to tell God thanks for being patient with me, and for not giving up on me.

    * Seeing my husband, and the eight children we conceived but did not carry to term.
    * Seeing my husband and our only living child together for the first time.
    * Seeing all other loved ones who have gone on before. What an incredible reunion it will be!
    * Meeting the great people of the faith whose lives and writings have been such a source of encouragement to all of us in our journeys here.
    * Exploring all the New Jerusalem has to behold. I like to think of my husband taking me and our daughter on a personal tour and showing us all his favorite places.
    * Knowing there will never be another devastating moment due to cancer.
    * And so much more that I can't even begin to imagine.

    Come quickly, Lord Jesus!

Before my back problems hit, I was an avid hiker and backpacker.

Looking very much forward to Heaven in our glorified bodies and then the return with Christ for the 1,000 year reign on Earth. During the reign, I want to hike all over the world. Our glorified bodies won't need food or water or clothing to keep us warm. We'll never tire, so sleep won't be an issue. It will just be a matter of get up and go.

By then, it won't be the same world we left, but it'll still make an interesting hike... Visiting villages and outposts, rivers and mountains that have been changed due to the Trib events. Visiting places that as a US citizen today, I wouldn't dare visit, but after the Trib, it's all fair game.

Then this Earth goes bye-bye and a new Earth will take its place... One so beautiful and serene, we as humans today couldn't possibly comprehend it.

And then I'll have all of eternity exploring my new home, meeting every manner of the kindest people there are (because no one will be unkind). And if, big if, I end up exploring it all, why I'll just pull a Forest Gump and turn around and hike the way I came!

What excites me most about this whole hiking thing is that it wouldn't surprise me in the least if Jesus hiked along with me. So much to talk about, and at times, nothing but loving, comfortable silence between the two of us as we both take in the beauty that surrounds us.

Wanna tag along? They'll be plenty of room!

I look forward to beginning my service to the High King for eternity in a perfect body, in a perfect place, surrounded by perfect people for a perfect King. I think of all the ways I serve Him now here on earth, in a sinful body, surrounded by imperfect people and this world's demands and how I long to serve Him completely and with perfection. Not down playing service here on the blue marble because God knows our hearts and that is what is important, but man I look forward to the kingdom to come!

    1. To have this heavy, dripping, mudsoaked, putrid, burlap veil rent from my spirit, that i may see Him as i should.

    2. To understand His Love so fully that the why's dissolve into perfect peace.
