Well Boys and Girls, we kind of knew these two (Romney/ Obama) was going to be the actors leading the next show.

We need to focus on the House and Senate. If you have someone in your state running, support the right one in all the ways possible.

You want a total melt down? let Obumer stay in office and allow the Demo's to win both houses.

I knew this was coming because decent, moral people who possess high moral character and values can't get elected in this country anymore. How sad that NONE of the forefathers would be electable in this day and age. Instead, they'd be presented as religious nuts by the Democrat and liberal-run lamestream media. I like Sen. Santorum, I think he would have made a great POTUS, but I knew it was going to be a longshot for him to get the GOP nomination. Now we're stuck with Mr. Wishy-Washy Romney. Let's hope that if he's elected, he can be "wishied and washied" in the right direction to be more conservative than his previous record.

My teen son and I were discussing this when we heard it on the news. It had become pretty obvious that there was no way Santorum was going to win.

However, Santorum won 11 states. He won them by speaking conservatively, by speaking about the Constitution and freedom, about values. The clear message to Romney - who has obviously been taking heed - is to communicate conservative values. We often don't get the nominee we want (Santorum was far from perfect too), but we can influence the nominee we have to reflect our values.

When does the running mate get named? Is that something that is closer to the convention or will that be sooner than later? Technically I guess the race isnt over since Paul and Gingrich are still in it.

I WAS GOING TO VOTE FOR HIM! I have been gone all day and did not hear the news. He did well in his campaign by showing concern for the average man and his values certainly came through in his speeches. I hate to see him go.

I assume that Santorum's delegates will now be uncommitted...but even adding his to Gingrich's, the total count is more than 200 fewer than Romney.
Even if a 'last-minute' candidate jumps in now, it would be very difficult to over-take Romney's lead.
I'm personally saddened by Santorum's departure, but will support Romney over Obama.
Did anyone watch Gingrich on Hannity last night? He said we need to get back to the GOP platform, and have a picture of 'O' at every Republican rally from here on, to show the reason why we must support whichever candidate gets the GOP nomination.
    I agree 100%.

Amen! I really love both Rubio and Allen West!!! My strong feelings as of late, however, has been that Mitt might pick Paul Ryan from Wisconsin?
Now when these things begin to take place, look up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near Luke21:28

McCain announced Sarah Palin as his VP choice near the end of August, 2008.
I believe most are announced after the candidate has officially been declared the party's nominee.

    Smile "Because He Lives"

The ONLY way to have a positive outlook in this negative world is to keep your eyes on Jesus.
On this forum, most of us agree that we are in "the last times"!! From a "worldly-view" we can't expect things to improve. From a "Heavenly-view", things couldn't be better.

As we see the world in an economic meltdown, heading toward "apocalyptic" wars, leaning toward a "new world order", and yearning for a "world leader" we know what "season" we are in; and we won't have much longer to wait to be "rescued" from this Godless and sinful world.

We haven't "finished" the race, so we must persevere and continue to witness and live for Him. Don't be discouraged, GOD IS IN CONTROL!!! We must NOT "bail out", we must do what is right while we are here.
We need to prepare our hearts, we could face serious persecution in the next few years, but it won't last long and our reward is waiting for us.

I just want to encourage you to Read your Bibles and Pray; witness to everyone you can and never forget the promise Jesus made:
Mat 28:19-20 "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

    God Bless, Dan
1Co 15:52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed!

I liked Santorum. But, I'll hold my nose and vote for Romney with a smile on my face if it means its a vote against Obama.

On the news sites running articles about Santorum today, the comment sections are full of the most vile and atrocious hate mongering I have read in a long time.

And here I thought the 2000 race between Bush and Gore was bad. Roughly seven months between now and the election. The spewing of hatred and nastiness is going to be beyond severe.

I was so disappointed to hear Santorum is finished. I was so looking forward
to voting for him in our Pennsylvania primary later this month. I was hoping
he would keep going and something nice would happen at the convention.
Romney doesn't yet have the amount of delegates he needs! Now , what
to do? Romney will push the health care mandate through, he invented the
blasted thing. I guess I have to go check out Gingrich now. I expected Gingrich
to quit long before Santorum would! Sheesh. Down
to being forced to vote for anyone but Obama. Instead of a vote for someone
I really wanted to see as Potus.
